This Wojak meme video is about gaming addiction and how Doomer gets addicted to gaming. A game addiction knows various states, ranging from the game first attempt to spending in-game money. Wojak discovers a first-persoon shooting game and gets addicted to gaming very fast. He wants to surpass his Zoomer & Chad friends and when he does, he wants to go even further to become the best.

That's why playing solo games is better. You enjoy it like it's a movie and when it's done.. it's done. Then you play another game and when it's done.. it's done. And you repeat the cycle for the eternity. It's way more sane and it let you play at your own rythm. There is no ego involved and it doesn't interfere with your life, you don't feel bad for stopping and there is no competition, so it's a win win.

Absolutely spot on, i was high in the leaderboards on cod4 years ago, i felt like an online celebrity. Join public lobbys friend requests every two minutes people taking pictures of you in their game, then suddenly the game dies and your a nobody. Everybody is just try to be someone. Being recognised by someone for being good at something online is better better than reality. This video hit home

I was in the M40A3 clan for comp & montage making playing Cod4, MW2, WAW, & MW3. Hitting those quad headshot feeds. Hitting switch feeds. Clutching 1v4 competitive SnD games. I remember the feeling you just described like it was yesterday haha. Friend request box was always full. Every game people wanted to party up. People would doubt I was the real member of the clan until they looked at my friends list. Oh shit those were the days. I can say I just got bored & quit before It just disappeared on me though lol. Gaming started to feel like a chore. To always play in comp games & hit clips for youtube videos.

I'm glad I discovered this video. I was fired from my job that I was at for about 8 years & as a coping mechanism, I would play Call of Duty all day long & would try hard to convince myself that one day I would make it in pro gaming and/or gain loads of followers. I failed to realize that I had a gaming addiction. I started to neglect my health, relationships, finances in order to spend tons of hours gaming, and even went as far as spending the last of my savings on skins and/or DLC content. Now I'm slowly paying the consequences of my actions as I gone cold turkey & woke up to the harsh reality of experiencing getting my cars repossessed, and realizing that I would have to sell my electronics & get a regular day job, most likely two, just to get back on track from this addiction.

As humorous as this is, this is very accurate in showing gaming addiction. I always have a habit of falling in love with a game and trying to be the best in it that it gets to me and over takes my life. I feel this may come from a sense of insecurity I have of myself in not being the best or recognized by others. However, this is the reason I dropped out of college. After many years later, I put that same energy into coding and now at least I make money. If anyone's suffering from game addiction, please put that energy into a skill that can at least make you money, otherwise, unless you're going pro, you will have to depend on your parents and people, unfortunately, will look down on you. It happened to me anyway. God bless.

Im on whole another stage. As for now, and many passed years, i literally don't have anybody to play with. Like, single person at all, for many years which felt like decades. So there's no rivalry feeling inside myself. However, whenever you play game, if you are not playing with your IRL friends, it's either you want to have some joy at least, or prove something to people in your current game session. It may sound unpleasant to many of those who reading it, but I've found solution and beauty in hacking. That way, you can bypass that urge inside yourself, which drives into donating to the game. On the other hand, you getting full joy, because you can accomplish anything you want there. And lastly, you can learn some coding in the process, while making anticheat bypasses for yourself

@@MarceloCardoso-vs7yf you need to stop doing courses, and start to build something on your own, and only then if you get stuck you look for information, how to solve this one particular problem and you keep going.You will later realize that what you coded is shit, but that realization is good. It means that you learn something, then you can learn about good coding practise and stuff. But most important thing to learn is to how solve problems and you wont learn it by doing courses

I had a former friend of my mine who was my roommate back in college who had quite an addiction to video games. It interfered with his sleep, occasionally he would be getting to work late because of the fact that he would be staying up too late playing video games. On top of that, it interfered with his relationships, I would see him bring a girl over, but she would be watching him play video games most of the time. He never really left the apartment unless he was going to work. He met this one girl in particular that he was really into, but as i described the same cycle occurred. One night I overheard them talking over the phone and from what I could gather, she was addressing his video game addiction and he flipped out over the phone saying "I'm sorry I've got a fucking hobby, I'm sorry I've got a fucking hobby!" and the call ended. Shortly after that I noticed that she wasn't coming over anymore and one day we both happened to catch each other in the living room and he told me that something had happened between girl and him. I listened as any good friend would have and he ended up telling me that he hoped that she would come back and that he had no idea what he did wrong. He placed all of his attention and energy into video games, that the most important things in his life were not receiving that. I definitely fell into the addiction cycle myself too though, but not like i described with my former friend. I had a college buddy of mine back then who lived across the street from me. We would get together smoke weed and play games together. Alone I would also smoke weed and play video games. Luckily I phased out of massive multiplayer games and into solo games, I believe it started with games like dark souls and Elden ring. Now I prefer playing solo and at my own pace, for lifestyle reasons. I'm married and relationships take work. Also I work two jobs, so playing at my own pace is everything now. On occasion I will still play a massive multiplayer game, but rarely. I also cut back on the weed shortly after I began dating my wife.

@BurningFirn
@BurningFirn 6 ай бұрын
@@maylaymaylay8970 eh. Whether people are able to apply the dedication they have towards games, towards real life responsibilities depends on the game they practice playing. And how they correlate the game mechanics to real life. I'm talking about all games. So even board games. As long as they use their brain, by practicing management skills, mathematics, building, creativity, or hand to eye coordination. with awareness of what skills, they're using to be proficient in various tasks, then it can be seen as beneficial to an extent. The "extent" to improving the recognized skill depends on the person's ability to examine themselves and evaluate whether, they are truly gaining something. Or losing precious time. Personal responsibility is the key, to the lock that is stability and happiness. But is personal responsibility, taught or trained by any form of game? I don't think so. Its taught and trained by success, by failure, that has real consequences to the individual's future. It's the brain-dead grind that is consuming time and stagnating the developing brain.

Games are so dangerous... they create a false sense of achievement... which satisfies our desire to improve our lives. So instead of doing things that will improve our lives, we sit and play games and our lives just keep getting worse. It wasn't "violence in games" that we all heard about growing up that was dangerous.... it was just that fake feeling of achieving something that was really what destroyed lives.

I've spent countless of hours on gaming in my life, and I don't regret it. I'm convinced that I developed many useful skills that I can apply to real life/professional problem solving. Every new game I picked up is a new system I had to learn and eventually master if I enjoyed the competition. Thanks to all those games in my lifetime, I have little trouble picking up on new skills whether they are real-life skills or the next game ;). The trick is not to get stuck grinding just one game.

You know it’s not that black and white, right? Some people just lack self-control compared than others. It’s that simple. Not everyone struggles with separating beating a game from real life achievements. Calling games “dangerous” is such a hyperbolic statement, especially compared to other things one can become addicted to like gambling, drugs, or porn that can lead to worse consequences that are more difficult to recover from.

This is why I pretty much only play story games now, if I play video games at all. Competitive-multiplayer games suck you into the game way too hard with the constant rewards and progressions, and you really have to pay attention to how much time you put into them. Story games have a fixed end, which signals when you’re done with the game. Of course you still need to manage your time properly with story games, but it is much easier to do.

I can realate so much to this story. Around 3 years ago I was this Wojak, playing Rainbow Six everyday, the whole weekend, every time I wasn’t working, I was overweight, not moving on in life. Then I sold my Xbox, I quited gaming, I started going to a boxing gym and I enrolled in the university. Today I’m a different person, I lost around 15KG, my self esteem and confidence are in the sky and I’m in the best shape of my life. Edit: Didn’t hope this would get upvotes and attention, thanks. People say gaming and exercise aren’t mutually exclusive and they’re right, but studying a career is time consuming, I also work Monday to Friday to pay my bills, my school and so on, I do play GTA in m ipad sometimes, games that are not so engaging and compromising, but R6 and the like take many hours a week that right now I don’t have, besides I prefer to spend my few spare time studying french, writing, reading or doing something more productive.

I see myself in this video, and this sad. I played a lot since middle school with my friends from my class. I become better than all of them in every game. They quit this games, or even quit gaming to study more. In high school I choiced to grind in games more, played 8-12 hours a day, try to become one of best, I even start wining against professional e-sports players, get in top 100, but what it's done for? I did not get anything from it, only waste of time. I'm 19 right now, didn't passed the exams, didn't get in university like my friends do, drop out from work, wasted a lot of money on games, have nothing to speak about with peoples IRL. It was very hard, but I decided to drop videogames and study more, hitting gym, and try to become better in IRL, I want to make my dreams come true and I hope someday it will be regardless... P.S. This is why you do NOT invest in online multiplayer games. You invest in generally single-player or small-party games like Undertale and Celeste where you can get good, actually reach the end of it, bring your skill with you, actually have something to take away from rather than have them take away from you, and then explore and make mods if you're interested enough.
