LRF Fishing: Mackerel on Lures & More in Cornwall

Catching Mackerel is always good fun. But on LRF Gear the fights are epic! This video is of a Spring Session in a Cornish Seaside Town, scratching around for a few fish. It wasn't easy going through the middle of the day, but the start and finish made it worthwhile. If you just want to see the fishing, use the chapters. If you enjoy everything that goes alongside the fishing hopefully you enjoy the whole thing.

No worries. I'm glad I left when I did Bass are nice but was close to falling asleep driving. Any later would have been dodgy. Keep up the catches. Catch a bloody Dragonet!

Didn't realize Fowey is quite beautiful - esp in the sunshine. You've filmed it so well. Love the mackerel fishing. Surprised you manage to land them on that light gear - definitely a great skill. Did I mention, I love catching mackerel on lures?! 🤣🎣

It's a pretty place isn't it. You can't beat a Mackerel fight on light gear. Just have to let it do its thing and be patient. Wish everyone would try it rather than hauling them on beach casters and feathers

Such wonderful videos - glad you have recovered quickly. What landing net do you use?

Thanks Karl. I'm glad to. Still stiff and sore by the end of the day but all good. The Net is a Spro Freestyle Flick net amd separate Spro handle. Angling direct do them. It the smaller sized net head. Then you can choose the handle that suits
