I had a Fleetwood recording and the name of it was the prince men 1958 and 1959. I played that record hundreds of times over and over again they would definitely one of the old-time great drum and bugle Corps has missed by many. The cover of the album had Prince been on the starting line with the judge looking down the line as a teenager I was super impressed

Fantastic article. Loved Prince's sweet hornline when they first pulled slides, espcially Jimmy Murphy's Sweet Ga. Brown. Saw them first in the late 50s at the Dream. Played at the indoor Drumfest with the Interstatesmen in the 60s. Their uniforms were so great, also the jackets and cutters. Competed against Prince in mid 60"s. Never knew George B directed them at one period 8. Thanks for the historical writing!
