Fantastic! Very interesting to have your narration along with seeing the level of detail that goes into your builds. Thank you, Mr Ellwein.

Hello, That looks fantastic! I have a 1995 LT1 engine and 6spd out of a Camaro that has 23K original miles on them :). It's been stored for 25 years and finally going into a project car. First it's going on my test engine stand I will send you a few pictures. Love your work!

Thanks. The LT1 that you have has been stored for 25 years? cool. Will you be keeping the engine mostly stock and original or will you be doing performance cam or head work?

Yes sir stored for 25 years in a heated garage too. Very dry and low humidity where I live so 0 rust. Before putting it away I took care to lubricate the cylinder walls and about once a year turned the crank a little. I'm guessing I might need new valve springs but I have no idea if springs weaken just sitting in a compressed state. For now keep it stock but it sure would be nice to make a little more HP with a bigger cam.

By the way I just did a test start of the engine yesterday to make sure my wiring was good. (it worked) . Going to the dyno next Monday.

Karl, On your opening screen to this video I noticed a unique cover where the opti sits. Did you make that? I will not be using the opti on my engine. The GM cover is no longer available to cover this area if one is not using an opti. I assume this area needs to be covered for long engine use. Do you have any suggestions on what I can use to cover the hole? I don't want to use an old opti and just leave it as a band-aid. THANKS!!

Another question. The hub section of the balancer on the Corvette LT1 is it the same as the Camaro LT1? I know the balancer are different diameters but are the hubs the same length? THANKS!!
