I took your advice and stayed in Battignoles. We loved it! We were there the week before the start of the Olympics. I am thrilled to see that we ate lunch and dinner at these same places!!! I will gladly go back to this neighborhood. Felt like a local! Thank you so much

That last bit at the bistro killed me! It's 10 am, and my mouth just gushed at the thought of cheesy potatoes with sausage; I was gonna have a rather simple breakfast, but now it's potato pancakes with cheese, sausages, and eggs. With a splash of Tobasco, of course.

I wish I saw this video before going to Paris for the Olympics but at least I got to try the canard confit, the Paris-Brest and, of course, the croissant. On a side note, I didn't knew how hard it was to find a boulangerie pattiserie open after 5 pm. Here in Chile we have something called "once" and having pastries for that is great. So I had to settle for the apéro 😅.

I'll be in Paris, again, in October and then in November. Your video(s) remind me why I love the city.. During your vid I checked out the menu of Le P'tit. I think I shall make a reservation. If (when) I go, I would pair each dish with a wine from the carte. Thank you for your charming and fascinating little views into your life.

Paris-brest looks like a Profiterole except with cream and hazel nuts instead of ice cream. I like escargot especially the butter, garlic, and parsley which I sop up with a baguette. I love both confit de canard and magret de canard, boeuf bourgignon, coq au vin, and pâté. I am in heaven when I get entrecôte with foie gras and a glass of sauternes. Then the Chateauneuf du Pape with the steak. I do like a large cup of hot coffee. Although I like an espresso or capuccinno, it's too small for me. An Americano is better.

Bonjour. Lucile et Theo, Merci Beaucoup pour le video magnefique. Thank you for all your videos. Now I must make Tian. I think I watched most of your videos, Theo's videos and a most of a musing Aida's videos now to plan my end of november 4 2024 4 day visit to Paris. I once visited Paris in highschool for twenty years a one day bus trip from the Netherlands ;( I really didn't enjoy it because of not enough sleep, a bad restaurant near Sacre Coeur and a lot more bad experiences. At the end we encountered a pretty violent protest. So this time I have a lot more time and I hope I am well prepared.

We went to Paris on a day trip when my husband was at a conference in Brussels and although I've been to Paris a few times prior I never took the time to sit down at a restaurant and have a meal/people watch. We could not believe how at 1 pm on a Wednesday, the parisans were taking the time to eat a full on leisurely meal with multiple starters and salads and mains and desert and wine and coffee ... In the states people if they even have time for lunch grab a sandwich on their car

Bonjour! I would like to invite you to the famous indian restaurant Le Kaveri located at 3-5 Quai Aulagnier 92600, Asnières . We serve some of the most scrumptious Indian food around! It’s a bit of a hidden gem, and I think Parisians and tourists would really enjoy discovering it. If you could visit and make a vlog about your experience, it would mean so much to us. Your support would help more people find out about this special spot. Thank you so much! Hope to see you there soon 😊

Folks - watching these videos it would seem that all Parisians are bourgeois- this is only one slice of the city. If you want something a bit more authentic head to East Paris (10, 11, 19, 20). You will find the dive bars, the ethnic restaurants - the people who live, breathe and love Paris. This presentation is for the trend chasers with budgets. The Hoxton, Williamsburg crowd. She gives good advice for those folks.

@@LucileHR as long as I can find a chocolate-free babka, I’ll be happy. I haven’t been back to Paris since 2007, but even then I saw a much more welcoming city than I remembered from my earlier visits (1969, 1972, 1986).
