Can we also talk about the “travel prep” and how people are spending $1000+ on clothes, hair, beauty, treatments, etc. My heart goes out the younger impressionable girls who think this is normal. That is definitely a luxury and what influencers are promoting is the exception not the norm

You’re too real. People thought I was crazy for deleting Instagram late last year but I stopped caring not only about other ppl’s lives but also sharing mine. A lot of life is mundane and not-that-exciting and that’s okay lol. We’re here to exist not entertain. I had a summer vacay to Europe and I didn’t feel pressured to do convention “picture-worthy” places. I visited places that had my friends & family in them, and had the MOST AMAZING time with my Instax film camera. Without making TikToks about it 🤭

I share the same sentiment as I don’t have social media at all anymore ( IG, TikTok, facebook and snap) I learned to live a mundane life without feeling pressured to share anything and I have no pressure with filtering out my pictures. Oh no you aren’t crazy for deleting your instagram. It is all a joke to me to be honest. I grew out of this whole social media life style and happy to live a life that isn’t accessible to all. Folks look at you crazy when you tell them you don’t have such platform. Everyone grows at a different speed but when you know your values you will know where to spend your time and where you shouldn’t. Life is meant to be lived not posting online for everyone to give you comments to boost your ego.

It’s why so many cities and towns have been destroyed by mass tourism. The people that go do not respect the place and mess it up. They are now starting to ban tourists. I typically prefer the less beaten path. Those hold on the wall restaurants and cafe in those quiet sleepy towns. That’s where you’ll feel the culture and explore truly.
