The Polaris Lounge in EWR closes showers at 9pm as far as I remember. And the amenity kit is the same as in PE.

Yes, it’s scheduled but very unpredictable. A friend was booked on Allegirs on that route, and was changed to this config a few days ago 😞

Thank you so much for your video. About six weeks ago I flew from San Diego to Munich on the Lufthansa, a 350 business class. What a complete disappointment that was. The Flight crew was barely friendly, very businesslike and efficient. I also found the seat configuration 2-2-2 very uncomfortable given that I was flying as a single woman. I did not manage to pair my AirPods Pro Max with the system, so I depended on my iPhone to listen to music and an audiobook. The flight attendant told me I should have downloaded the Lufthansa entertainment app, but when I asked how I’m supposed to know that ahead of a flight, she did not respond.I fly back to San Diego again from Munich in about three weeks, and I hope the experience is more pleasant. PS, I flew from Munich to Rome on ITA [Alitalia] business class and it was a completely different and extraordinary cabin layout. The crew was extremely friendly and personable . 😊. maybe Lufthansa could learn something from the Italians!

Thx for sharing...was it a problem with the plane or the airline regarding your deflating mattress? I'm considering flying this same aircraft from Montreal to Munich in October...the flight is $2k cheaper than the next cheapest flight, I wonder if this why.

It‘s risk with the seat design as there is less padding and air cushioning instead. I‘ve had Lufthansa flights in the same seat with no issues. If the problem couldn’t have been fixed on the spot I would have tried to get some type of compensation. But I don‘t think the seat offered on a plane is the reason the flight is cheaper. Many factors influence the price of a ticket.

No, it’s attached to the seat. No headphones provided in business or first class are meant to be taken from the plane. Most won’t work outside the plane anyways. The noise cancellation is no created in the headphones directly and the plugs are very often different.

@@Neetabeeta1972 Very well, so much better than their previous business class… Secret tip, try to grab rows 2 or 8 for a special “suite” experience with a Secret drinks menu. Safe travels! 😎

I was rebooked on Lufthansa from KLM/Delta, and this was by far the worst business class seat I've ever experienced. A weird bulb straight into my back where it shouldn't be, and made it impossible to sleep, both for me (1.90) and my co-traveler (1.60). The screens just kept turning on, with an all white extremely bright screen every now and then (between 30 seconds-20 minutes apart) and turning it off or asking the crew to disable them completely did nothing, it kept happening. The crew was good but just had to give up in face of all these physical problems, that they already knew about. Would not travel with them again.

That's very unfortunate to hear! When my seat wouldn't inflate on swiss, I sent an email and received 200€ compensation. It can't hurt to ask! Although it might be tricky, as you initially booked with KLM/Delta before. Hope you will have better travel experiences in the future!

The problem with the air cushion in the seat is typical German overengineering, the first version of this seat in the 747-8 didn’t have the problem, because there was no variable air cushion, but some Lufthansa brain decided we need variable air cushions, and all Airbus planes and the refitted 747-400 got the version with air cushions and started losing air sooner or later.😂😂😂😂😂Allegris is another example of German overengineering😁😁😁

It‘s definitely an extra part that can break instead of just going for nice padding. I am curious to know how well the seat heating/cooling works on Allegris and how often it will be broken 😅

Nah, not worth the price, you can use the money to invest or use it for hotels and restaurants. only 8+ hrs of flight for expensive ticket. Premium economy is better.

Thanks! Yes it‘s hard to justify paying full price. But it also depends what price a competitor ist charging. I hear good things from the new Allegris seats, but it will be a while until that is the new norm with LH.

It is starting to change....slowly. Allegris should be quite good. But it will take time until a large amount of the fleet is fitted with the new seats.

Yes, from „presentation“ to rollout it really was terrible. I haven’t flown Allegris yet and I‘ve heard good things of the hard product quality. But from a consumer standpoint I‘m not happy about the 7 different seats and don’t get me started on the idiotic 2 person middle suite in First Class 🤦‍♂️
