I think I like it better with Luke redeeming Vader purely by Faith alone. Him having experience changing a Sith in the past kinda takes away the huge risk he's taking when confronting his father. Because when alike confronts Vader Luke doesn't know for certain if this is going to work. But he believes that there's still good in him because he was once a good man in the past. So, I get that Disney is trying to provide an explanation for how Luke "learned" how to redeem someone, but I like it better when Luke took a chance at a decision no one else considered. As it had never been done before

Even though I prefer legends on how he got his green crystal but this comic is beautiful shows Luke is worthy of being a Jedi no a grandmaster he always meant to be a believer of redemption and a reformer of the Jedi order.

Legends has been tossed in the garbage bin. See disney. But the original green crystal was artificial and almost ended Luke.. but it was from a sith holocron. It was very impressive nonetheless.. Vader complimented it and probably thought, only my son could form such art of tech..(edit it was a moment Vader or Anikan was proud of Luke in expanding into his teachings.).

With the acolyte series Star Wars witchcraft references have become clear to me. The whole lore change around the kiber cristal’s is based in cristal charging which is witchcraft but on top of that get a load of this picture 8:18. Anybody sees the Luke sleeping in the floor with the candles around him? Star Wars force wouldn’t need rituals like that. To my understanding the only ones who would do such rituals where the Sith because they seek to bend the force to their will. This are occult practices in open sight.

Even though Disney ruins its own canon, this to me still feels like something Luke Skywalker would do in Legends. I feel like this could fit into the old EU we all know and love. We also know that Luke is a Jedi who doesn’t falter or break easily. The only time he did, he moved past that and learned from it. Luke continued to wow us til his death in 144 ABY.

This is what gets me concerning the irrational hatred of that certain recent series I won't name because it triggers idiots. As an IP, Star Wars has a history almost 50 years long and they keep adding to the series canon with every novel, comic, tv show, movie, and video game that's made. We've even seen stories set thousands of years before Luke Skywalker's existence, all adding to the canon. And always there's a section of idiots who hate on any new additions because they don't see how it fits into the story yet. Just because the end of the path isn't visible yet, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist at all. You just haven't traveled the path far enough to see the end and sometimes? Sometimes the "end" is a fork in the path with both options eventually leading to the same or different places. Just like how Luke, in this comic issue, knows his destiny is to confront and possibly save D.V but he can't see the path to it yet.
