Hello Luke 🧑and Sabrina 👸, I enjoyed this episode as much as the previous one. Good job narrating and describing the taste profile of various dishes -- important when we can only see but not taste a dish 👍👏👏! I look forward to your next and last episode from Japan, and cannot wait to watch the episodes from Italy (one of my favorite countries, all things considered). Take care!

I have been trying for years to figure out what the "Sea Pineapple" is! I had it in Japan in 1999, and never knew what it was or how to find it. It was the hardest thing for me to eat, because I felt like it still had poo on the meat.

Thanks for taking us behind the scenes to see Japanese food artistry in action. While I know that most Japanese value bitter flavors to some degree, I have to say that is one taste I've never acquired. Good for you for trying the sea pineapple, even after having read bad reviews of it.

Sea pineapple looks like a pineapple, in shape outside and the color inside. That tastes like refreshingly bitter, for me. It was actually very much loved in Korea before. "Good things to our body taste bitter" says in an old proverb here. :-) Maybe an acquired taste like mountain vegies.
