@@SILVER_JP both are diferent. naoe is very fragile. she can be one hit killed very easilly, yasuke is a fricking tank that pretty much baseball bats your head out of your spine. naoe can sometimes miss her assassinations because of the enemi armour, yasuke can loudlly smash them from behind. i think the best, and how im gonna play, is canon mode, let the game decide wich character is best for wich mission, and swich during parts of the mission.

I would presume the game will break past 5m and be over 10m copies sold in a year or so. But I get what OP is saying, the game will 100% sell well but will it sell enough for Ubisoft. I feel like they could be chasing covid numbers in a post covid world and even though it sells 5m it'll be seen as not good enough. Exec expectations can be wild.

Hopefully there are no forced sections with the guy because from what im hearing and what i saw he doesn't seem fun to play at all, while on the other hand the girl at least does more traditional AC stealth combat for the most part. If i play, im still on the fence about it, maybe on a deep sale one day

Yasuke’s gameplay seems like they wanted to somehow inject the power fantasy you’d feel from playing a game like For Honor which has your beefy samurai/Knight/viking dudes doing their thing but all they know is assassins creed’s power fantasy which is about as comparable as a cheetah to a tiger.

@ I always preferred the parry/counter attack gameplay. It makes the protagonist feel very powerful. And it’s satisfying to see the kill animations. To steal people’s weapons and kill them with it. Once it got to origins, and they went with the ugly health bar combat with more standard third person action, the combat completely fell off for me.

3 of my favorite historical periods are Vikings, ancient Egypt, and Ancient Greece. After getting over 200 hours in all 3. I did not like them. I love assassins creed. But I want less of what we had with those 3 games. I’ll take more black flag, ac2, and rogue over the newest assassins creeds. This might be the first assassins creed mainline game I don’t buy. I hope it’s good. But if it’s like Valhalla and odyssey. I don’t want to play. I’m happy that the story got serious and interesting at least

no minigames sucks. i mean they were only well implemented once in ac 3 were you had to play checkers while tailing/ listening to a guy. and i dont want orlog, but go would be fun, and you see characters play it on the trailer. i dont care about hunting, its ok to restrict it in shrines, but overall japanese people also hunted for food. at least we will not have to fight the farting boar king of the mountain. and screw the drone eagle, it was the most fun in farcry primal and not much after. honestlly the only things im bothered by is the fact seasons time related and not story related or quest time related (like the upcoming vampire game). and i like in gta5 were both characters exist at once in the same world and you can meet them

It’s a game about a fictional creed of assassins. Not exactly a historical documentary. Ac games have always had real setting but the characters were never real. It’s fiction who cares if he wasn’t a real samurai. Jin Sakai wasn’t a real guy but people aren’t complaining about historical accuracy there.

They promoted it like it was meant to be historically accurate when it came to Yasuke and whatnot. He was a samurai. It takes 30 seconds of googling to find this out! It's on the first line of his Wikipedia article, and there are a bunch of articles written by historians who specialise in that time period explaining that he was a samurai. What annoys me is that the "he isn't really a samurai" narrative originated from the far right who are just unhappy when a black person is featured in anything at all, and then the internet ran with it and propagated this false narrative without once stopping to look up if it's actually true.
