@@luccaowensand what should be done is start everyone with a million dollars. Then, they can build their own homes in the town they really want to live in. Also, the design of the roads and maps they could change some. We know some roads can be in a circle rd.

One reason that the inside of this house feels weird is because it's shaped outside like a 1920s house, but the inside is a gutted open plan remodel. This house makes me want to remake my 1928 house in the sims, like the size and shape already match, I just need to redo the inside.

You said the front door should have a window, but in real life, I hate having a window in my front door. Because people can see me when I try to check who is at the door. Like those people who always come trying to sell you internet contracts? Yeah. I wish so much, that I would not have windows in my fucking door. 🤣 I know sims is just a game, but what if we are just sims, too, controlled by a higher power?

You should invest in some curtains and a doorbell camera, then you can block people from seeing you and be able to see who's at the door without going over to it

Ugh this is probably my favorite house in the game, even though it’s just like… a box, it has such good bones. It’s the best house for remodel ( that’s not true all three of the willow creek starter homes are wonderful) I LOVE what you’ve done. I know you were complaining about certain areas feeling cramped but with the floor plan you really made it feel so much bigger than it is. The whole time though I was internally screaming to have the bump-out have one of the bay couches or a little reading nook. You’ve given me so many more ideas lol. Great video, love your style!

What’s crazy is that I learned a lot of things from this video unintentionally. Literally had no idea you could change the orientation of cabinets and counters… Also really inspired me to renovate this, so antsy that I literally had to speed up the video so I could finish it but get to renovating it faster 😭

I absolutely love the idea of remaking existing homes in the game. Even if my ideas were totally different than yours I still enjoyed watching it and it even motivated me even more to do it myself in-game!

I live in a trailer, I can tell you this, no trailer has windows on there doors and most trailers unless its a double wide will not have the layout you have, most trailers have the kitchen in the front then the living room the the beds and bathroom, other then that, your spot on 👍🏻👍🏻

I started to remodel, but my computer broke down. So, I cant play Sims 4 now. Remember, you can change the exterior of the home too. Perhaps into a half brick/half stucco? I am glad nobody can change my homes I designed, but me :).

Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of this transformation. I'd prefer it much more if it was an actual starter house, with little stuff in the rooms because you have to work for it during the gameplay. It's got an improved layout, some freshness to it, but still keeps the original vibe, colours, it's very similar but better. You just made a full on decorated whole house with a completely different layout and design, strided so far away from the original that it doesn't feel like the original starter house anymore. Please do not see this as an attack, the video itself is very great, the design as well is very thought out, however in my opinion it does not give the "starter house" vibe, kinda like you said yourself. I would love to see something like I described before, a starter house with "the same" design, but fresher. Keep it up though and good luck with next projects :]

Looks great! How did you do the cabinet at 19:58 (the one that looks like it's joined with the countertop). Is that just the full-length cabinet with the countertop clipped through it?

the shelf cabinet is the full length option for the parenthood cabinets! it's not ceiling to floor length like most other cabinets, that one is ceiling to counter length! hopefully that helps :)
