I have been experimenting with the trial version of PS and Lightroom CC and found it a bit too complicated, Luminar 4 is so much easier to understand and saves me lots of time to get virtually the same results. Thanks for the tutorial it's brilliant, you make it easy to understand thanks. Also it saves me £10 a month !!

Perfect for me Gary. I am particularly interested in the transform element. A relative has asked me to remove a person from an old family photograph then seamlessly stitch the group together. I have not seen the image yet but presumably they are somewhere in the middle of the group.

Very interesting and very clearly demonstrated. Thanks very much. Looking forward to seeing more about layers. I think I saw here a couple of times when your editing was "in advance" and L4 took a bit of a time to catch up. I find L4 to be quite a bit laggy on a pc (I see you're on a Mac), and the more layers I have active the worse the issue becomes.
@GaryMcIntyrePhotographer5 жыл бұрын
Hi Martin and thanks for watching. You are correct it was a bit laggy when doing this one but I was running a video render in the background so put it down to that as that's the first time it happened for me.😁👍👍

Hi Bernard, thankyou very much for watching. You can indeed use the sky replacement but if I had I would've lost the blend option unless I created it as a stamped layer.😁👍👍

Gary, thank you for your excellent layer videos, I just subscribed. Was surprised to see you play with a sky replacement in an image with no sky. I had been trying to figure out if sky replacement could somehow be used to remove everything except a single flower bloom and add a pure black sky in the entire image. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks Gary, great on layers. Using L4 as a Lightroom plug in how do you get multiple layers into L4from Lightroom to do compositing?
@GaryMcIntyrePhotographer5 жыл бұрын
Hi Ron, glad you enjoyed the video. You would have to export the lightroom images to a folder so that you can add the layers a required. I would keep the base layer in lightroom and add images from folder so that once you hit apply in L4 it goes back into lightroom with all the added layers

Gary Evening. I was removing a large piece of a photo by erasing. Because the area was complex I was doing a little at a time. I got to layer 9 and Luminar would not let me create a new layer. I can edit that layer . Have you come across this?

when I go to layer transform on an overlaid second image the opacity leaps back to 100% and I can't see the underlying original image to get the alignment correct...what is my error?
@GaryMcIntyrePhotographer4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, if you are using a pc that could be what's causing it. It does the same on my pc. 👍😁

I must be doing something wrong. I can add an image layer easily. I can reduce the opacity easily, and see the background image come through. But as soon as I go into layer transform, the top layer is still faded, but it's got a grey background or something, and I can't see through to the base layer, excepting if I drag the layer completely off of the canvas... Does it make a difference that I'm using Windows? Am I missing something obvious?
