AWESOME VIDEO!!! Will be implementing all of these settings on the G7 that we’re using at my Church! Question: With the lens that you recommended, what would be the max distance away from subject, could I go/be?
@LiveProductionTips
@LiveProductionTips 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Brandon thanks for watching. For the lens it will depend on the type shot you want to get ( close up or wider ..) but I have been getting questions regarding distance vs lenses / and hopefully this week or next week I will release a video guide for lenses. So stay tuned. Thanks again for watching and feel free to send my way any questions you may have.

Hi again ... do you need to buy a dummy battery to run this camera from wall power? About how long do the batteries last when you are live streaming? Thanks.
@LiveProductionTips
@LiveProductionTips 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes If you want to use it for Live streaming I really recommend getting the dummy battery with the AC adaptor. The battery may only last about 40 minutes, or less So I wouldn’t advise you to rely on it. I put some Amazon links in the description for all the accessories I talked about if you shop on Amazon otherwise you can still find it in most AV shops. Let me know if you need more help

Hi, I'm really thankful for your video. I'm really new to this I tried something like this for the first time with a Lumix G85, (12-60mm kit lens) Camlink 4K , using the G85 as a webcam in Zoom. for some reason the video quality showing on the Computer screen was always better ( Less Grainy , and Brighter) when I switched the Camera (G85) to any Photo Mode .as opposed to the Dedicated video mode. Is it possible that I didn't set up the video mode properly ? Or was I "cheating" a bit by using the camera photo modes? I can't say what my actual settings were as I kept playing around with them. I will try to revisit my settings and take notes. In your experience could it be possible that the Photo modes could have given better results for this particular application? Thanks God Bless
@LiveProductionTips
@LiveProductionTips 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Horsford, thanks for your comment. Well the exposure may be higher on the photo mode depending on the settings you have compared to the video mode. It’s hard for me to tell without seeing your actual settings and the results you are getting. Feel free to connect with me by email if you need me to go through the settings together with you. See my email in my {About } section.

@LiveProductionTips
@LiveProductionTips 9 ай бұрын
It’s a camera limitation. You could though record in OBS instead or buy an HDMI monitor/ recorder with a pass through HDMI. If not too late I believe the G85 can do what you are looking for

This is a very helpful video! I am having an issue with my G7 and elgato 47 cam link. Following your instructions I should be getting video on OBS, but I am not. OBS recognizes the capture card but doesn’t display and video. When I connect the hdmi to the camera, the view window goes black. But if I hook the camera up directly to a separate monitor it shows up there. If you have any ideas let me know, it’s very frustrating.

It’s hard to tell but it seems to me to be an issue between the camera and capture card. Try a different capture card or look into the resolution maybe you are sending a resolution that the capture card doesn’t support

Awesome video! I am looking to upgrade my church camera system to Lumix G7's as they are very budget friendly. Have you checked out the canon FD lenses? they are really cheap and are very good in low light (they go as low as f/1.4) I recently got the FD 70-210mm f/4 lens which I will be using as my "Follow Cam" lens.
@LiveProductionTips
@LiveProductionTips 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Thanks for the comment. I am glad you enjoyed the video. Yes you are right the g7 is a great budget friendly camera that can deliver amazing results. Also for the FD lenses I have a 50 mm f/1.4 and I am still testing it out on various bodies (GH5, g7, g85..) before I can recommend it to churches . They are very affordable though and they deliver a good image. What body are using with your FD lens ?
@KLRCAT
@KLRCAT 3 жыл бұрын
@@LiveProductionTips that's awesome. I am looking to get the FD 50mm f1.4. My personal camera is a Lumix G7 and I am using a K&F Concept FD to M4/3 adapter for my FD 70-210mm lens, which gives me really smooth bokeh 👌

@LiveProductionTips 3 жыл бұрын
@@KLRCAT awesome. How good is the lens in low light?
@KLRCAT
@KLRCAT 3 жыл бұрын
@@LiveProductionTips it's okay, but it's only f/4, so I would need a very well lit stage. Ideally you would want a lens with an f stop of f/2.8 like the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 (which a lot of different churches are using) but it will cost around $600-1200 depending on if you get it new or used.
@LiveProductionTips
@LiveProductionTips 3 жыл бұрын
@@KLRCAT you are definitely right and that’s why I was hesitant. I just got canon 200 mm lens f/2.8 it’s a prime so no zooming but I wanna test it out and see how it does. The price was under $400 on eBay. But as you said whenever I hit f/4 on a lens I start panicking especially for church lighting that tends to deem lights most of the times

Ok I see. Sony has slightly bigger sensor and better autofocus compared to Panasonic. However having used the Panasonic cameras they have so much better image quality and their lenses are more affordable than Sony lenses. Remember when you buy your first camera you are adopting the entire ecosystem of lenses. Personally I would go with the g7 and eventually adopt more bigger Lumix cameras like the g85, gh4 and GH5. If you have the budget and you like the convenience of autofocus then Sony is the way to go. I hope this helps . Let me know if you need more help

Hi, does this G7, doesnt have any issue like over heating? Because i bought Fujifilm XT200 but after 25mins, it prompts that it reaches the maximum temperature and shut down 🤦🏽‍♂️
@LiveProductionTips
@LiveProductionTips 3 жыл бұрын
Hey no the G7 has no over heating issues. I have tested it several times and used you will never have that issue. It has a 30 minutes record limit which means it will stop recording after every 30 minutes but it doesn’t shut down. You can simply hit record again and keep going . If you are not recording and you are simply live streaming then no limit you will live stream for as long as you want.
