Lunati - In car footage of Project Bad Penny '68 Camaro

Steven R., editor of Camaro Performers magazine, going full throttle in Project Bad Penny at the Optima Battery Ultimate Street Car Challenge. Steven's pro-touring Camaro features a LS2 that is outfitted with a Lunati rotating assembly - crank, rods and pistons. Steven went on to beat out several very impressive cars to take home the first place title. Congrats Steven!

The torque curve designed into a cam can actually be mathmaticaly matched to a track when you take into consideration the optimum handling characteristics of the car defined as # =rpm /gear ratio/appex off. @ curve climb =elapsed acceleration. Based upon the most consistant range selection..On an oval its repetitive while some tri ovals and especially road course have multiple configurations.All things equal the cam and gear box is what decides who wins .

missed a shift at 1:35, need more seat time . I think a well sorted A sedan car could do the same numbers with ( oops needed another gear at 2:54) 3:33, made the shift. ) less tire , less motor, less brake...... and less weight. Is this car using R compound dot slicks, or shaved street tires. They sound a little "tready" to me.
