What a great showing of the HERD. This guide was great. I loved the giraffes in the background. So funny to think if you are lost just follow Jabulani, he’ll get you home.

Lundi doesn't like the intruders and will always stand for her ground even when it is not always successful In her defense she didn't have all the help hoped for wonderful Matriarch Tokwe, Sebakwe the dominant Bull and Gentleman Fishan were too busy splashing about in the Dam and Jabu decided to have his peace Thanks for sharing ❤🐘

😊😉🥰😍😘😇😇🤗💞💕💘💖🩷💜🧡👋👋👋👌👌👍👍👍

I’m curious, does anyone know what the difference is between the role of the matriarch and the role the dominant female? At first I thought they were the same, but after watching the video it sounds like they’re different.
@carmenl1639 ай бұрын
The way I understand it, is that Tokwe the matriarch is the leader and then there is an hierarchy between the other adult females. So, Setombe is the most dominant of the other females. But, even though she is the most dominant of the others, she will still follow Tokwe as being the matriarch. Tokwe isn't the oldest female, which is actually a bit special. Setombe is the oldest and therefore destined to be the matriarch, but she was too nervous to be a good leader, so Tokwe stepped in. On the HERD webpage are bios of many members and all this is explained there. You may want to read it.
