When travelling as a foreigner in India you have to try a luxury India food buffet at least once. Therefore I’m sharing this exclusive luxury experience of the Sunday pool brunch at the Marriott Whitefield hotel here in Bangalore. Being based in India as a foreigner I have the privilege to try out a lot of food options and recommend them to other foreigner friends who come to travel in India. A luxury buffet is always on my list of recommendations.
At the Marriott Whitefield hotel here in Bangalore there's an incredible luxury Indian food buffet every week, including Western food. The buffet costs 1599 rupees plus taxes per person.
This week the luxury India food buffet at Marriott Whitefield Sunday brunch was happening at the pool side. As a foreigner based in India I have never been to an outdoor brunch buffet so this was a fun new experience. Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.

Hi Ivana....thanks alot for a food video....been waitin for long to check one. Again amazing buffet but i wld like to mention tht it was very impressive in presentation nd the cuisine was more global nd less Indian which was really gud for a change....the Rasmalai u mentioned was either dry types one or more like wat we call chum-chum in North India.The dessert section was the most tempting one....but I noticed taste wise u dint find many items to be extra ordinary or amazing (which usually u get in ur buffets) nd most of the items were just good or nice (wat do u say?)

You can get same food in many Indian restaurants in USA and Canada. Much better food because same 5 star hotel chefs go to USA and Canada as chefs in those restaurants making more money than in India. Owners give them free accommodation plus 2500 dollars per month salary. That is a lot of money than what they make in India in those 5 star hotels. Ingredients are well screened. It only costs you at the most 30 US dollars that is probably much cheaper than Indian restaurants/hotels in India

Ivana I have noticed u always say veg biryani is a reality whenever u see it in buffet or any menu 😀 but u have to understand u also see veg sushi in India so foods evolve with time n are mend n catered to the demand n changed over a period of time but the purists not always accept the change n the fact remains biryani is originally means mutton cooked with rice preparation n the name biryani itself includes the word "Raan "which is a cut of lamb so there's nothing wrong or right but veg biryani is definitely an evolved version n not an original dish 😊

For a Marriott Hotel the buffet didn’t look very appetizing moreover the dishes around the buffet looked pretty messy. When compared to other 5 Stars I would rate it at 3.5

DEar Lady, Please stop comparing India and its culture with West - It's one of the oldest civilization of the world and with a complete different perspective to look into human existence - It's border was once upon a time from Lake Vaikal in Russia to Cambodia - OK there're a loads of problems in the actual society , because of assimailation of so many cultures which were alien to its native and also due to mismanagement of distribution of knowledge and Wealth. Instead it will be good if you go into th edepth of its culture and not scrape on th esurface - Food and streets and modernity is all good but if the centre of the circle is missing then it will become a very hollow society based on rules and regulations but no heart - the heart is 100 times more powerful in spiritual intelligence than the Logical brain - It's a pity that Bharat in order to synchronise with this so called mechanised western civilization had to incorporate many of its mechanical rules and regulatiuons . Nevertheless we can all have the material comfort with the correct spiritual knowledge - which is the alignment of the human energy with the Universal energy - and that is where Bharat is a champion - So please stop this comparative study - We can have the best of rules and regulations but if we lack in Spiritual intelligence and emotion then it will crumble down like a cardboard wall and that's what is happening everywhere in this world - We have brought th eworld to the brink of collapse through lack of spiritual alignment - It's not extrospection that we need today wwe need introspection -We should grow towards th eUniversal knowledge and not just see things only from the human point of view - The indian cuisine which is a derailed version of the original ayurvedic cooking - ayurvedic cooking was based on the science of longevity and power - and not based on the superficial taste of the tongue - we have alongside Books on food science called Khadya shastra - SO please talk about deeper things and not Do's and Don'ts - WHere in the world we have perfect society - even the example of th eso called modern society US has rapes , Murders, Racism, follhardiness, ruthless social system where human beings are just production machine - so on the outside we can have all Human rules and regulation but if these aren't born from the spiritual intelligence ( this is an alligned intelligence which goes beyond the Human material existence and takes into consideration the whole Universe ) then it could only lead to disaster - which is th edirection that the human society is leading the planet earth to - Global warming, Wars between nations, false sense of supremacy, pollution, ignorance leading to false national or racial identity and so on and so forth.
