A fellow INFJ!!!! Also it is veeeerrry common for INFJs to go for our “opposite” in a partner so the ENFPs and other similar types. I love Myres Briggs and I’ve taught it for a while, interestingly though the introvert/ extrovert isn’t what it means in a normal way it’s where you get your energy from and I would totally agree you get your energy from yourself and thrive on your own... which is perfect for what you to 😊

Thanks for commenting this! I also have a degree that trained me to administer these inventories. Someone trained in administering personality inventories can be so important in helping with the breakdown of these results. It’s akin to reading your monthly horoscope versus having your astrological chart drawn up and analyzed. The problem with “personality tests” is that people think they’re fixed and the end all be all. So just a heads up to Lydia and others interested in personality INVENTORIES (the correct terminology): 1) they measure preference. Which means your Myers-Briggs results can often tell you a lot about how you behave, but also tell you a lot about how you would PREFER to behave. That is, you may not behave in ways that you’d prefer to. Not understanding that can cause some confusion or distrust of this inventory if people don’t feel the results are an accurate reflection of “who they are” since a lot of times we measure our concept of identity by how we act. 2) things like behavior and identity aren’t fixed; they can change over time and/or due to circumstances we encounter in our lives. Thus, your Myers-Briggs personality type can change from year to year, or depending on what mood you’re in when you take it, etc. it tends to not shift drastically though. We all do have some core elements that make up our identities and our behaviors that we’ve been socialized with since birth. And if you’re ever wanting some insight on being a “j” (judging), lordt I got some! 😂 people love to harp on the fact that my personality type says I’m judgmental!

Me and my fiance are the same! We take the MB personality test as our company likes us to work with people that match us and yes my partner is the jock! It sounds like you’re an INFJ, as I’m the same, and my husband is also the most common personality! Everyone (apart from L&D professionals which is the industry I work in) always assume I’m an extrovert - so interesting to see how people assume you are based on how you outwardly project yourself but you know how you truly are, especially being an introvert who loves people because actually you need a good, long rest after you’ve spent some time with people who aren’t your immediate bubble who you can be your true self with. Love that you’ve done MBTI, but also remember - it’s almost like horoscopes but for personality types, so you can always be a different “type” in differing circumstances.

In the US the Meyers-Briggs test is something that we take several times through our time in school. I don't remember what my "type" is anymore but I do remember that the tests were always spot on. Wish I had taken the advice early on in my work life because it would have saved me from many years of being miserable sitting behind a desk. My results always showed that I liked working with my hands and nothing is more true.

Heaven! The extra sparkle of Christmas decor everywhere! It was all absolutely stunning! I guess those things are quite the usual when it’s a palace... Really surprised at your personality type results! I love MBTI videos and must recommend Frank James videos - he does skits on the different personality types that are hilarious (I always watch them to see my husband's type). He also talks about being an INFJ and how they process the world by breaking down what exactly each of the letters mean (their cognitive functions), along with other personality types. He also has some Enneagram videos - perhaps that should be the next one you take!

I was fortunate enough to have my company pay for the extensive 100+question Myers Briggs and I am an ENTJ which is not common for women in particular but once I read it made sense for me although I was literally just slightly between INTJ and ENTJ. I was hooked on every write up after that as to what it means for how I interact with my family, friends and coworkers

Dear Lydia ...I could recognised you straightaway. Because you are so like me when I was younger. I did the Myers-Briggs a few years ago, I too found it ‘spot on’ for myself. I must have another go over Christmas, thanks so much for the link, it will be enlightening to see if anything has changed now I’m 71!. That sounds so like Ali, he’s such a lovely man!
