Dr medal has some simple nasal drainage exercise that take less than 30 seconds to do. 3 videos with 3 different exercises, worked for me. Doing this before the breathing exercises feels a good idea. Also some way to warm up breathing muscles would be good.

I don't understand timing your breath. You can take a full breath in an instant if you do not obstruct the flow of the inhale with your tongue in the back of your throat. You are also artificially blocking the exhale with your lips to slow down the duration of the breath. You can breath in and out fully and completely without making a sound, and your breathing is making sound because of the way you prevent the breath from escaping all at once. I'm not sure why no one addresses this. I can't prevent my lungs filling up instantly without artificially obstructing the flow of breath and that is causing me tension.
@griesburner Жыл бұрын
you need to learn to control your diaphragm muscle. then you are able to control to slow breath in and out without obstructing the flow. but for beginners it is a method to lenghen the breath.
