Had varicose vein surgery done 1 month ago, the old fashioned procedure (the same that nick needs). I had almost no symptoms, but wanted to avoid that crap to get worse and end up with ulcers like my father. Got surgery on a Tuesday, was back in the gym the same Saturday, and pushing legs hard 9 days after the surgery, got the stitches removed that day, fully recovered in less than 15 days. Nick should get the surgery done ASAP.
