@@WobblinGoblin1 not crazy at all my friend, I feel Ed's style and song writing was much better suited to Skynyrd and what made them Skynyrd than Steve's was. When Steve came their sound and the overall feeling of their music changed. I also noticed when Steve joined the band he never played Ed's parts the same way Ed did but when Ed later rejoined the band he played Steve's parts as close to perfect as he could. They were both talented and on the same skill level and ironically both born on September 14th 1949

Bob burns was the founding drummer and was in the band before Artimus. He was actually drumming in this set. Artimus clearly doesn't get along with Gary and the rest of the band, but he was a damn good drummer in his own right, we can agree. On Bob Burns wiki: "On March 13, 2006, he rejoined Lynyrd Skynyrd for one performance as he played alongside Gary Rossington, Billy Powell, Ed King, Artimus Pyle and the Honkettes at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction."

I have loved LS ever since I heard them in college and I still remember exactly where and what I was doing when I heard about the plane crash-I was devastated. I used to play their double LP of their live performance called "One More for the Road" over and over before the crash. One question I have, Artemis Pyle was quoted in Aug. 1991 that he left LS voluntarily because he didn't want to be around the drugs and alcohol in the group any more( on a radio interview). At the same time, there is a line of thinking that he was pushed out the group. Who's right? I would like to know since they are one of my favorite bands since I was a teen.

For those of you slamming Kid Rock for being there, listen up. When ever some one or a band is to be inducted into a HOF. They are asked who they want to induct them. LS just happen to pick Kid Rock. So if you want to bitch about it , then bitch to LS they picked him personally.
@MrMotoflou8 жыл бұрын
Well I mean...yes you get to pick who will induct you, but you don't have to include them in your performance. 99% of the time the inductor does not take part in the band's performance. I don't give a shit either way, I'm just saying. When I watched this, I did think it was kind of odd that he performed with them and sang. Usually the inducted band just does their thing, it's not like they needed assistance. I guess it was a ratings thing. I would've liked to see the current Skynyrd/tribute just do their best, since they're a touring band.
