I will be getting the Pro with the M4, the new Apple Pencil 3 with the cool new Apple drawing app that works with generative AI to enhance as you draw! (yeah that's clearly just speculation on my part, but it's coming at some point, you just know Apple will jump all over the current drawing apps like they did with other apps)

I believe M4 is certainly plausible for iPP, both from an evolutionary PoV for Apple silicon, and from the PoV that I think it has been coming for several years now that (at least internally) Apple intends iPP to replace the now-extinct base MacBook. I very much envision especially the 13” iPP as a low-end laptop replacement, with the iPA as the “classic” tablet.

If I buy this year, it would be the top spec 13" iPad Pro, but it has got to have more than faster M4 processor and slightly better OLED screen to persuade me. What I really want is to be able to run some macOS apps, so I don't need to travel with MacBook as well, even if those Mac apps only work with Magic Keyboard attached and not by touch. Otherwise I will stay with my 2021 iPad Pro which is still excellent and as it is the top of the line 2TB model, I am in no rush to replace. I rather suspect Apple will not give me what I want and I will be keeping my money. I have as it seems have a lot of people jumped off the continue updating for slight incremental improvements. Now it has to be really useful and meaningful update to persuade me to replace my tech.

The price jump wasn't even a price jump on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, they just simply removed the 128GB model from the list, the 256GB model was also $1199 if you bought the iPhone 11 Pro Max 4-5 years ago. So the higher base price still not equal with a price jump.

Why buy IPAD, wherever version off ipad its very expencise and you can buy a Macbook to make ANY work better than a IPAD nad basicly same cost better battery. The only thing save IPAD know its change IPAD OS to MAC OS..

The limits of iPad OS are only Apple’s fault. If they want they would make a window management more similar to MAcOs but they simply refuse to do it for start. It doesn’t even have to be MacOs to be accepted by many

It make sense, first reason why it's possible that the M3 seems never planed to be inside the iPad, imagine the marketing, here is our new M3 (18 tflops on ai) iPad pro, buy it and you can get the half of the AI capacity of the iPhone (A17 Pro have 35 tflops on ai..) Same for the missing interconnect bride for the M3 Max, do no plans to fuse them to M3 Ultra.. and guess what happen if they just flip the release order, release the strongest chip first, those who need more performance will buy it, but recently those who already bought an M3 Max Macbook, why should threy pay again for a M3 Ultra? If they flip the orher the significant amount of M4 Max buyer instantly converted to M4 Ultra buyer, since that is the first product which stronger like their current machine..

Regardless of whether the new iPad Pro has an M3 or M4 processor, if it's still running iPad OS, it will remain the most pointless product in Apple's product portfolio. What pro needs a computer tablet with exceptional technical capabilities to be crippled by an OS to only run in a walled garden ecosystem of mostly mediocre smart phone apps.

The M4 is critical to Apples AI future, not sure if they do it now on iPad Pro or wait and upgrade next year. But hearing everything in Apples lineup will now get the M4 and whatever they got cooking with AI might be HUGE. Think about it, if the M4 is critical to this big new AI move, almost everyone will want to upgrade to products with the M4! Could be the biggest upgrade cycle ever.
