I think your in-court coverage (in every case) is awesome, Court TV. If, by any chance, there's a way for us to view the entirety of the trial, please, I know that many would appreciate watching it. I never heard of this case until today, and since it involves everyone's worst nightmare (a home invasion while sleeping), I would love to hear how this unfolds. I thought the opening statements were informative, so thanks again for posting those.

It's not the victim's job to hold him at bay for 30 minutes for cops to come. in my opinion, you get rid of the threat. it's like a friday the 13th movie. the guy might keep coming. what you gonna do, take the 5% chance he gains the upper hand some how or may have another weapon?

As far as I’m concerned….. the minute he illegally entered that home, Brian, his significant other, and children were in danger, and without the police arriving Brian had every right to do what he did. This is a bogus charge..the DA should have his head examined for bringing this to trial.

i think the issue is the fact that he shot him in the head 8 1/2 minutes after the first shot. it sounds like they are struggling when the second shot goes off. evidently the shot to the torso was not slowing this dude down any as he was fighting still.

Well I know when I lived in IL they expect you not to shoot the intruder or you could be imprisoned for THEM breaking in and you not knowing if they’re there to kill your kids or what. In TX. No problem. Castle doctrine. MA is a liberal state like IL. Probably more rights for criminals than regular citizens like in corrupt IL.

Brain Camp was set up by his wife , that man nknew what bedroom to go to she knew his name brain knew nothing he was just defending himself and family. And then when he out side away from that intruder the 911 sends him back in to check on a man that just tried to kill him. That tries again to hurt him and he ended the threat to his family not knowing his girlfriend knew him. She needed to be investigated and arrested she brought it all on. Brain needed to be found not guilty.

Maybe he did want to finish him off as he knew the guy was gravely wounded; maybe it was the adrenalin going. Maybe he thought the guy could still get up and hurt them . However from the moment that guy broke in he crossed a line. So all in all, not guilty.
