I'm a Gen-Xer who was a kid when the original movie came out, and I was disgusted by my peers who threw hatred and vile comments at both Ahmed Best and Jake Lloyd during the Prequel era. I loved the Prequels, and I had to defend that position to my peers. I'm glad to see him get a new story, that also connects heavily with his previous character.

there are a few ever humorous segments in *:* 'The People V. George Lucas' (2O1O) The guy who describes precisely what it was ~ to read *t h a t* crawl for the first time inside the theater just after the lights dimmed down (illumination by perhaps too many Sabers that weren't set to vibrate) *-* he recalled . . . such a (room wide) feeling of indescribable , gleefully expressed bliss that would not be lasting for much longer cheers. (there are foul things emitted in this Documentary ~ however they do include "Riley's Cantina" host during a younger time)

No one would've turned down the role to be in those movies. Disgusting how he was harassed into that deep depression.

Ahmed Best did receive a lot of hate for playing Jar Jar. But this man came back anyway. He was the joke of the Star Wars universe and now he saved the life of our most precious little friend. Such an awesome return for him.

Most people have not watched Jedi Temple Challenge where Ahmed Best played the game host for kids as Jedi Master Kelleran Beq. So many people are catching up with Ahmed's story now. Him coming back heals a bunch of ugliness with the Star Wars fandom. There is still more to do but Ahmed really deserves all the hype he is getting now.

Mando actually GAVE grogu to the doctor as part of the bounty mission we see him go on early season 1 and then he changed his mind and got him out. mando found him on a desert planet with some local militia or group of bandits i dont remember what they were.

a few interesting things here. one the guy who saved grogu is jar jars actor and the jedi he is playing was in a star wars kids show where kids would come on as though they were padawans under him so its rather poetic to have him save grogu. aso idk if you remember but in season one every time a piece of armour was forged for him din had visions of his past trauma just like what happened with grogu's flash back so the armour'r may know that these are incredibly common when one becomes devout to the way.

Ahmed Best is actually 3 characters in Star Wars. He also had a very minor role in Episode 2 as Achk Med-Beq, an extra who was present in the Outlander Club on Coruscant, conversing with Ayy Vida and a purple Twi'lek, when Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker showed up in pursuit of the changeling assassin Zam Wesell.

Found this out on Rockstars: Ahmed Best hosted a Star Wars themed children's competition show ("Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge") as Kelleran Beq. I thought it was cool they introduced the character into this series. Hopefully it opens doors back into the Star Wars universe for him.

I'm guessing since Padme had heard/seen that the Jedi temple was under attack she would have given all the help possible to any fleeing Jedi/younglings since Anakin was on planet and she didn't hear of his fall to the dark side until Obi-wan told her much later. Remember, when order 66 was issued, Obi-wan was off planet fighting General Grievous, and it would have taken time for him to get back. Also, Anakin had some time between attacking the Jedi temple and killing off the Separatist leaders before coming to see Padme - I'm guessing. During that time she didn't know what was going on for sure. Kudo's to having Ahmed Best reprise the role of Kellerin Beq. I can't think of a more fitting way to rescue Grogu.

Kelleren Beq The Sabered hand! Known to be a Jedi master specializing in training younglings and a Master of all Jedi forms. Though he is not the best at individual forms. Played by Ahmed Best , The actor that originally played Jar Jar. He originally also has a purple colored Lightsaber.

This might be a bit far fetched theory, but I think that the reason Grogu in the first seasons of the show was so eager to play with that small metal ball with a hole in it, could be because it looked so much like the Death Star. Maybe that's where Grogu grew up and can't remember it.

Why does everyone think the Armourer is dismissing/not believing Bo about the mythosaur? The Armourer has always been fairly laid back in her leading style (witness her acceptance of Bo into the clan), and she definitely seems to be the keeper of knowledge that not many others are privy to. But I think she needs people to make their own decisions (think of the way her and Din spoke about how he could be redeemed), she won't order them into situations, and I think her interest in Bo is actually because she sees potential, so her responses are all about testing to see how far Bo will take things. Because the Armourer is not the Mand'alor - she seems to be closer to a spiritual leader for the clan - and the Mandalorians have been divided and fighting for so long we might finally be at a point where they can come together again - under a new leader...

Think of this: The ship that took Grogu away was from Naboo. Who on Naboo would have the authority to send a ship to rescue younglings from the temple? A senator maybe? Who are the senators from Naboo? Padme? No... she's busy going to Mustafar for Anakin right now. Palpatine? No, he's busy Emperoring and being evil. That just leaves... Jar Jar Binks. Jar Jar must have sent the ship to rescue the younglings from the temple.

I have no problem with Pershing/Kane storyline as long as it all ties into a greater story. Actually Grogu was not in the custody of the Empire at the beginning of the show because it was the Empire who hired Din to retrieve the child. I'm guessing pirates/mercenaries

Grogu was found on Arvala-7, Kuiil's planet, in Mando Season 1 by Mando and IG-11. The question is how did Grogu get to Arvala-7? Thanks for a great reaction video! Also, see Aunt Vesuvi's comment below for more info on the Kelleran Beq character.

I’m a little confused. In the beginning of this show, the empire paid Greef Karga to retrieve Grogu. Greef hired Mando for the job. So the empire didn’t have Grogu, someone else did. Was he a prisoner? Someone else sent IG 11 to that same planet to kill Grogu. So the empire wanted him for testing, and someone else wanted him dead, maybe to keep the empire from getting what they were after? So we know there are years between Order 66 and season 1. The empire rose, then fell, and the new republic took over. That covers everything from the end of Revenge of the Sith to Return of the Jedi. Many years. Where was Grogu during that time? Much to find out!

It was cool seeing Ahmad Best in canonical story again--fans did not treat this man well, he ne nearly took his own life because of it ='( I never understood the Jar Jar Binks hate, but I guess we have the Internet to thank for that. Had it not been around then, the prequels likely wouldn't haven't as much as it got as a whole either--the OG trilogy wasn't exactly great, but it sure left its mark! As cool as it was to see a new Jedi, I gotta say, it would have been cool to see Jar Jar save Grogu instead. Who knows, maybe he still will. The ship we see is the same sort type of ship, if not THE ship Padme flew when going after Anakin. Since Anakin is in the temple now killing Jedi, Padme hasn't left yet, so this could still be her ship. Could Padme be showing up in this series, something like what Hayden Christensen did for Obi-Wan? Regarding this series (all of these new shows, really) covering other matters happening at the same time, elsewhere in the galaxy. This is Star Wars! It's one big inclusive stories. It has a lot more time than the movies, so it's going to show what movies couldn't. Think of the Clone Wars series. It didn't just focus on the Clones, but every angle of the war. Yes, this story is called the Mandalorian, but what's at the center of all factions of the Mandalorian? The Darksaber! And who did that once belong to? The first Mandalorian Jedi who crafted the Darksaber! Don't write Doctor Pershing or the episode he was in out just yet--we don't know how it fits into the story, but he did say that he was taking the best parts of DNA from various things to make something better. We know he was working with cloning and we know that this story is building towards the First Order and Palpatine--everything is connected. Palpatine isn't a Jedi, I know, but he's connected to them via the Force...and the Force is in everything, and according to Yoda, it's what connects us all...sort of like all these movies, games and various other Star Wars media. Grogu is a Jedi who is now a Mandalorian foundling. Is he THE Mandalorian? or is it Boba Fett, Din, Bo-Katan or someone else we haven't yet met? Mandalorian is singular, after all, so someone has to rise up and unite them under the sword like the former Jedi once did when they were a fractured people thousands of years ago. We all assume it'll be Din, and he still could be that person, but we've seen through him that he's helped other people or Mandalorians redeem themselves and also rise up. Whoever will be the new Mandalorian, he or she will need to be a person who understand what it's like to be something other than the covert. They are deep in their lore, which seems to be key, but it is flawed too, no? The armor is open minded, but not the others. Bo-Katan was that way too, but look at her now! Even Boba learned from the Tuskans--they welcomed a broken man into their tribe and made him whole. The Mandalorian wasn't just Mandalorian, he was Jedi and Mandalorian. This show seems to be bringing that full circle. Mandalorians aren't just one thing, but a collection of things, a collection of cultures.

I liked this episode, but there were some weird things. Why don’t the Mandos post a damn guard when they’re outside and monsters are around it seems a lot. A much better episode better than the previous one (in my personal opinion). All due respect to Lee Issac Chung (director of Minari), but I dug Carl Weathers and his direction better. Writing is still up for debate. I'm positive that Lee directed a great episode with "The Convert". I just personally wasn't feeling it. I'm almost positive that this show will end with Grogu is going to be the title card character, and that this whole show is made to have a Mandalorian/Jedi hybrid. The stuff with Bo-Katan is still interesting. I don't know her endgame, but I also don't know her mindset at the end of an episode. The Armorer is also mysterious. What does she know really??? Now, regarding the Ahmed Best cameo: it's very poetic that he once played a character fans HATED, and has returned to Star Wars to play a character fans will love. I'm proud of him, and I hope he sees the reaction online to him. We now have 4 episodes left, and I really, really hope we get more meaty stuff as we approach the end of this season. *This is the way*

I know but its some with Seaquel trilogy i know it have some things but its good. I would stick with the fact that Star Wars Legends is commendable. And Star Wars Canon is good and shows more that Luke is human and not someone who is above Gods. Because yes, Disney made Rey a strong character, but not to the point where she literally opened a black hole and threw things into it. !!?? :C They showed that he will disappoint, which was clear because he was on his own despite many circumstances, phenomena and the like, but at least it shows how we like him as a person who makes mistakes. I don't want to say that I prefer Rey, it's not my favorite, it's Ben because I like watching a person's psyche, why they act the way they do,... It's best to explain it to you anyway.
