All we need is a table to lay Chet on, a bottle of good whiskey, the Dremel and attachments, Dougo can hold the bright light , Amy can change the attachments when needed, someone to hold him down (Eric) and in 5 or 6 hours we can have those teeth fixed right up! Hey! We can do this! (The whiskey is for me)

We always put several Bounce Dryer sheets in the cabs during storage. It seems to screw with the mice's senses and they go to the neighbors instead. Of course, we intentionally put cheese all around Neighbor Ned's shop when his back is turned. That way, he draws the mice away from us. I don't particularly like cats but they actually serve a purpose around the farm too.

When those little critters die, they leave a liquid residue that solidifies. You have to make sure you find exactly where it was laying and clean it out. You can try putting a part box of baking soda in there (spread some on the stain the critter left) that will help with the odor. Have a good one.

Make sure your GFCI outlets are rated for the AMP load you're utilizing. Also, after a few trips (or overloads) the GFCI circuit tends to degrade and will trip at lower AMP loads.
@tomcander36692 жыл бұрын
That's their problem...now able to handle amp draw of battery charger or grinder
@mxslick502 жыл бұрын
Good advice. It also helps to use "Weather Rated" (They have WR on the face) GFCIs in a wet wash bay, they will last a lot longer. As for the last part, it actually takes a good number of trips before the GFCI circuits degrade, the trip threshold stays pretty constant until it either fails to trip at all (by the test button or using a plug in tester) or it trips and locks out in the off position. Circuit breakers on the other hand are easily damaged or degraded after a severe fault trips them. I have, in my 40+ years as an electrician, seem some fail after ONE bad fault, and many others that after several overloads, start tripping or failing to reset even with small (or no) loads applied.
@davedunn21242 жыл бұрын
Except a gfci receptacle doesn't give one damn how many amps your running. 15, 20 no difference. Common misconception. All It cares is that there is no more than a 5ma inbalance on power leaving and coming back on the neutral. Your overcurrent protection device (ckt breaker) cares what load your using. Ever pop a 15 vs a 20 amp gfci apart?? Not much different. In his application yes a 20a receptacle is what should be there but that wont help it with nuisance tripping one bit.
@smcox19912 жыл бұрын
@@davedunn2124 I have a 15 amp gfci that will trip constantly with my dewalt metal chop saw. If I plug it into the 20 amp gfci it never has once tripped it.
@GilmerJohn2 жыл бұрын
@@tomcander3669 -- Well, it might be useful to open up the charger to check for excessive dirt which when damp will easily cause a 30+ mA bypass to ground and trip the GFCI. (Spraying WD40 around the insides is sometimes a shortcut to cleaning things up.)

Seeing the pressure washer hose and Chet washing gave me memories of when I was a hiredman and had to wash everything from crates, decks, nursery and grower building to washing the semi trailer out every time. We were farrow to finish and switched to ISO Wean cuz the boss wanted to be on a schedule so he knew what was going on a year from now and knew what are scheduled was around planting and harvest as we had to sell pigs to move everything down so we could get a new batch of 1400 day to days old pigs in.

My suggestion for the mouse smell is Arm&Hammer pet carpet cleaner. Spread liberally, allow plenty of fresh air for several days. Vacuum, repeat as needed. It has always been successful for me.
@randym28112 жыл бұрын
I recommend using an Ozone machine. Put it into the tractor cab for a couple hours and the mouse smell will be gone. Those machines are often used in houses that have had fires. I have one and have used it in the garage to rid of mouse odors, as well as in trucks for various odors that aren't eliminated conventional ways.

Chet, Mello Yellow and Mountain Dew are thee worst for sugar content. My wife is a dental hygienists for 38 years and said it would be in your best interest not to drink either. Having farmed and knowing the rigours of the business during busy seasons she recommended to brush ofter and rinse during the day. She thinks you should ask your dentist for advice to reduce the effects of the sugar. It will save you thousands of dollars in your lifetime. Cavities are expensive but Crowns are very expensive. 3 cavities on a single tooth can diminish the integrity of the tooth and lead to a crown. We love your channel and have the utmost respect for you, your family and Big Swede. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This may have been posted below. On the Ground fault plug issue remove the ground fault plug replace it with a standard plug, at the panel box install a ground fault breaker on the spray bay plug circuit. This has helped a similar situation I had. On the rat smell buy a commercial ozone generator and put it inside the cab for a few days. These things are handy I use them in all my vehicles when they get a funky smell.
