6ADTV Not true at all. I am malagasy. Lots of young people in Madagascar have access to media, social media, international news, trends, what's going on in the world etc. Just like in the western world. So they know. They just don't value material stuff as much as people do in the West. Difficult concept to grasp from a Western perspective, I get it. Happiness is a state of mind. I believe we malagasy are easily enclined to adopt this state of mind. Peace on you.

@@fanilo95 that’s been my impression whenever to travel to Madagascar. Mostly very friendly people who do what they can to make a living while being content with life. My Malagasy friends who have emigrated to Canada and the US generally don’t place a lot of value on material wealth, instead they elevate connections within their community! I think it’s a wonderful way of living.

Absolutely. I wish the video was him alone walking through the villages and markets. He can convey much more understanding to all of us so far away...and without the pandering of a white guy trying so hard to fit in but cannot because he thinks he's just so amazing and everybody with whom he interacts gets that he's a jerk. Just another smiling white guy with a camera crew...blows into town...disrupts routines...drives away...says to himself "I've made the world a better place...I am awesome." That young man, with his quiet and patient manner, is who should have presented this piece. We'd have learned more. And that should have been the story. One major theme could have been "waste nothing" and use everything edible...a lesson that the West has forgotten.

Interesting, that Koba is something I've never seen before, it's like a giant sticky mazapan de cacahuate... I would love to try!

In Mozambique, we also have a dish with the cassava leaves, peanuts and coconut milk/cream. Sometimes we add crab and it SLAAPPPS. I love it🙌🏽
