Nah they were capping here. If he wasn't an edo tensei he wouldn't have been able to do anything he did in the war. He only did all that because edo tensei gave him infinite healing with Hashirama Cells, Infinite Chakra, and Infinite stamina.

@JBlakk him being a edo tensei didn't matter since if you put any other edo tensei in the same situations as Madara (except Hashirama, Nagato, Minato, Hiruzen, Tobirama and Itachi maybe even the thrid raikage) the rest wouldn't be able to do as well. Plus it was stated that Edo madara is weaker than alive Madara even with the Hashirama cells stated by Hashirama. Also edo tensei don't have infinite chakra, their chakra just replenshies very fast that it looks like it's infinite, remember when Minato said he was out of chakra in the war? Or when tobirama was disappointed that he could only make two shadow clones? Exactly.

Hashirama literally stated when Madara fully came back to life through rinne rebirth hashirama said “he’s regaining his past strength” implying alive Madara> Edo Madara since Edo Madara couldn’t break Hashirama’s deity gates while blind Madara could without eyes. You still ignored my other example when I said “if you put any other Edo Tensei in Madara’s situation” majority of them except some aren’t making past the five kage.

I mean there's Sasuke and Vegeta, Sanji, Zoro along with other stronger lesser main characters like Gon and Killua and Boruto even. The tanjiro one definitely felt forced, even Ben in the Anime vs Cartoon fight felt too contrived. Heck Inuyasha might be stronger than Tanjiro with the Meidou as well, Seiya might just be too left out since legendary older shows won't gain much traction with the newer audience. They didn't even give Mob of all people a spot light, at least not yet. But they could just be saving Mob up.

The anime Yasuke is sort of based on the life of an African man who ended up in Japan during Nobunaga's peak. Normally outsiders were executed, but the daimyo took a liking to Yasuke and treated him like a prized collector's item. He was given a rank in Nobunaga's army and became the first African samurai, but for the most part all he did was sit in meetings next to Nobunaga. Nobunaga would often show him off to others.

He mentioned this around the 2nd manga... basically Naruto was just meant to be a story about Kakashi and Naruto, but Kishimoto's editors forced him to add more characters to make it more interesting. Sakura was bland because he didn't know how to write or draw girls, so he kept her generic so other girls could related to her. Sasuke was a character from one of his failed manga ideas, so he had a character ready for him.
