Do the mounting bolts actually screw onto the frame and extenders? O think something is missing in mine... They slide in and out, they don't screw into the Frame itself or the extenders....

Nah they just slide in - they do not screw in - it will work - that is normal 😀

Thanks for the video. The written directions suck. We thought we were missing a piece too bc there was nothing to screw in and almost sent it back until I saw the other comment . I wish they would link your video on the Amazon page.

Oh good I’m glad this was helpful and you didn’t have to return the gate. I had this video uploaded to Amazon, but Amazon is weird in that they rotate videos in and out and I just looked and right now it is not on the Amazon product page. I wish they would keep it on there too! I’d see more sales. LOL.

So, I have 2 of these gates already used. No zip ties holding together...ideas on how to install?

Just open the gate and you should be able to squeeze the two sides together in order to put them in the space you’re trying to install.

Ok this did not help me. Like you skipped how to put on the ends and what about the silver bars that go in the bottom? I guess I need very detailed instructions for dummies. Lol.

There’s no trick to putting the ends on - if you’re talking about the pressure screws, you just put them in where the holes are - they don’t screw in or anything - it works on pressure alone. The bars at the bottom just go underneath the thing - like it just sits on there where the joints meet.

So happy to find this video because now the instructions make sense! Were you able to use the gate without the reinforcement slots? Maybe I missed them being in place on your video.

We have had many gates over the years like this and have never used the reinforcement slots. With that being said, if you have these at the top of the stairs, I would definitely use them. Also, if you have a strong child that tries to pull or lean on these gates, I would also use them. Otherwise, in our single story home with 2 girls, we have never had a problem.

My install was not easy at all. The 4 screws didn't stabilize into a receiving end so they fell out repeatedly. Bad design flaw IMO. The screws for the round receiver that attached onto door frame were super poor quality. Stripped out. Thankfully I had other screws. The piece that stabilize the extra side extensions should have a screw to secure it. Every time something moved out of place, it would fall off. It arrived damaged. I would not recommend. There are easier gates to install out there. I'm fairly handy & had problems.

My metal screw is too long and wont go qll the way in the hole

Didn't work for me. The gate wedged fine, but the door doesn't open/close.

@@MaddiesDaddy if I loosen anymore it doesn’t stay wedged. Your has a trigger, which I assumes controls the bottom latch. Mine has no trigger (smaller sized version) and bottom part does not unlock.

@@Boom-oq5yj when you pull the little latch, try to lift up on the gate and then see if it will open - some of them are made to open by lifting a little.
