I'm 52, but this video makes me sob every time as it basically tells the story of my mother who passed away of alcoholism and undiagnosed mental health issues when I was seven. I remember like it was yesterday coming home and seeing the ambulance at our house.. No one knew what was going on until my son, myself and an older brother were diagnosed with bi-polar and other mental health struggles.. I pray for people struggling with these issues, especially those going through this alone without help. P.S - I wrote this before watching the whole thing... I want you to know I cried with you. You have a loving, kind, compassionate heart.

Your listening to a true ARTIST. They have the ability to run your emotions from the very happiest to the very saddest. A good singer can do it once in awhile, but a real artist will take you to that place all the time. Pass the tissues, he got me to.

Chris is an artist that comes around every great once in a while. I’m not knocking some of these people that are out there singing into auto tune mics with paid dancers all around shaking to a song that someone else wrote that has a generic melody. But don’t dare call them artists. Chris Stapleton could walk on the stage with a 50 dollar guitar and sing happy birthday and make every girl in the club cry.

It is truly a struggle daily, sometimes minute by minute, to climb out of the darkness and hold on to living life with love and hope! I've learned to hang to the good, the love, and laughter around you. But I live with the knowledge and fear that that dark cloud is always lurking nearby! Your reaction truly touched my heart. It's the heart and compassion that you showed so bravely that gives people with that sickness to know its nothing to be ashamed of. I'm proud to say I've made thus far. I have literally experienced firsthand most of the situations in this video. As hard as it's been for us both, the only thing I know to do every time, is to stay and love her.
