Hi Psyche! Nice to see you! This song has such a powerful meaning. It’s a bit graphic, but we all know that Madonna doesn’t hold back when she’s sending out a message. As a man, I obviously don’t know firsthand what it’s like for a woman out there in this world but, having 2 sisters, I have heard their stories about the crap they have put up with in terms of sexual harassment or not being taken seriously at work. I’ve always thought how much easier men have it in general. I don’t fear being out alone at night as I imagine a woman does. I worry about my sisters if they ever do go out alone at night. The world is a scary place for most of us, but it’s that much worse if you’re a female. So many predators out there. Anyway, I do like the song and the message that goes along with it. Glad you enjoyed this. It's a powerful and at the same time amusing video. You see the old lady preparing for a ride with her, they gonna make trouble and ride it out. Some people have looked at the video and not really caught on that they are both doing what they do very knowingly. It's a powerful song. This is the remix version, the original album version has more lyrics but the message is the same. Sorry I've been away for a bit again. 😂😂 - oh you are so sweet - no I don' speak 7 languages, but I put some of my videos in 7 or more languages. It's a lot of work but to me my whole being is about making even the most remote people feel part of it. I've had people from China, Korea, Germany, and deepest part of South America so happy to see the channel. I burst into a heap of tears - but It should me that by doing it my way, Im doing it right. I remember when this song came out. It was in 2001, but I heard it like in 2005 the first time. Even tho its dark its a cry out to society, about the struggles of women. I know this sounds weird, but when I was angry, this song had a calming effect on me. I know I know its weird. But what can I say. The two things I DESTEST of this video are the last 10 seconds. What's with that disgusting number on the door. And no need to end the video in such a violent way.

Not a lot of ppl know this but one time I was playing the music video in slow frame motion. I don’t know why I was playing it in slow motion but I guess I was just bored. So I was watching it and my mouth dropped bc one of the video shots the little old lady is driving the car lol 😂 I was absolutely stunned and so amused that I laughed out loud.

To think this video was banned on MTV because of excessive violence. They'd only play it after 9pm and eventually banned it altogether. She said she felt vulnerable while pregnant and keeping it from the public. How men find a powerful woman a threat and they become a casualty. She took a controversy and made it her own and ran with it as usual. What I STILL find so fascinating is why they hold her to a different standard. What is the difference between a musician making a video or a movie and claiming the video is too violent? As you know, everything she does has meaning and is intentional. She has quite a sense of humor and is incredibly artful and speaking through her videos beyond the lyrics. She's brilliant.

Love the original song (very sweet, by the way) and also love this electro version. Love the irony around what man x woman can / cannot do. The video also tells a cool story, about how life goes by so fast and how we need to do what please us (Madonna persona) instead of gettting attached to certain stigmas (the old lady character chained by the system...) Of course the video is not saying to do all those wrong things in the video, but the message is "Shake the system..." "Shake your life..." And of course "equal rights" (manXwoman) Loved this reaction...even more because you never heard. But check on KZbin the original version to hear...so damn different 👍🏻
