Los caracoles! Amadeo has been there since I was a kid in the early 80’s and was much younger. Still has the same energy and would run circles around my 66 year old patients at 93 years old.

Thank you. Love ❤️ how you have showed a variety of food, from churros to savory... do you have videos on attractions in Spain that aren't the typical touristy ones?

We have a few longer daily vlogs in our Madrid and Barcelona playlists but since it was our first time there we probably did a lot of touristy stuff but feel free to have a look!

Ey, nice video! It is a wide and representative Madrid's cuisine. Altough being Spanish I realize the variety of cuisines we have in in such an small country with big differences in each region, so different. If you come to the Spanish East regions ( Bcn-Valencia-Alicante) food is quite different, much more Mediterranean, rice, vegetables, seafood and fish..

Thank you so much!!! We've had the pleasure of visiting Barcelona as well and it was really fascinating seeing some of the differences in cuisine between the two cities. Can't wait to explore more of Spain one day to see what the otehr regions have to offer!

Hi any group tour you recommend?

We didn't take any tours ourselves but it could be worth checking out Devour Tours (although they're a bit more food focused and less sights focused)! James Blick one of the co-founders has been really helpful with his own KZbin channel video on giving awesome recommendations on where to eat. devourtours.com/destinations/spain/madrid/

It seems that pork is the main meat in that city. Im a little nervous about eating their food this summer. It seems like it's all fatty and greasy. Are there an alternatives?
@locavore_eats5 ай бұрын
There's quite a bit of seafood and beef in the city but yes pork is very common. There were some healthier options around but personally didn't visit those places 😔

You had cocido for dinner??? omg... you guys sure got a set of cojones on you!! I did that once in my early 20s and it took me about 5 hours to get to to sleep. It was my grandad's cocido extremeño, not madrileño, but very similar.

Interesting way to pronounce "aioli"
@locavore_eats5 ай бұрын
It's called 'alioli' in Spanish so just pronounced it how they do there 😊
@robert111k4 ай бұрын
From Valencian 'all i oli' (garlic and oil). It's supposed to be an originally Valencian sauce that expanded north (Catalonia and Provence) and south (Murcia and Andalusia) along the western Mediterranean coast. "Aïoli" is the Provençal adaptation of the sauce, which, due to the rise of French cuisine from the 17th century onwards, became internationalized under that name. Similarly, this occurred with mayonnaise, originally "mahonesa" from Mahón, the capital of Menorca, which spread north and south before its French name was internationally adopted.
