Yep, he's a well read person in general but in most of the author interviews you can clearly see he's read the book. You can tell it's not fake. I saw 1-2 interviews where's he had not read the book and he never claimed he did read the book.

Yeah, wow. I just finished watching this interview. I watched the Colbert interview last night and I was excited about it, as Colbert is very intelligent and also very politically aware. But I definitely found the interview disappointing and lacking. The audience seemed like they wanted laughs and comedy, and kinda like Stephen was trying to give it to them. Tonight's interview however, at first the audience tried to laugh but quickly gave up because it was apparent that the subject was being treated seriously, and they sat silently engaged for most of the interview. I could have watched them go over this for at least an hour. Anyway I can't speak to why the Colbert interview missed the mark but I was glad to see this one tonight. And I look forward to reading the book.

She most definitely has given a truly holistic and precise outtake on who and what the Orange Clown really is,an in-depth view of how he thinks and what he stands for...basically giving one a much wider and better understanding of the man himself. She would certainly do well if she ever decides to take a stab in the political arena! I'm immensely impressed indeed! Through a jumble of random tweets that individually may or may not capture the public’s interest? I think it’s actually much more effective to compile the vital information in a compact and logical manner (like in a book) and send it out all at once so people can get the big picture. Also, this book is being timed close to elections, when it will reach the most people and inform their voting. I’d say that’s the best case scenario for all parties involved, including trump, who seems to begrudgingly respect her work.

@@TwoTreesStudio Actually, while I do completely understand where you are coming from, I think there are also many people who have intensely followed the Trump presidency, who acknowledge that the truth is that there is nothing in this book that would have made any difference in the mind's of conservatives. If you really sit back and think about it honestly, you begin to realize that Trump has done so many insanely selfish, arrogant and ridiculous things, that none of this would have made any difference. I'm sure you have observed how the MAGA people think, they would have twisted into something akin to an attack on their messiah and moved on. Not to mention, even if you disagree, there were so many other books published already that one could argue that the timing of this book in relation to the midterms is a net positive.

To Trevor Noah: I really enjoyed ur interview with Maggie Haberman the amount of knowledge u have in politics going back to the year 90's is amazing. When Maggie started to talk about Trump I thought she is one of those who admired Trump But I was wrong she describe wrote book about what he did when he was president and continued to do to get attention. Thanks.

The level of detail Trevor puts in before having these guests is absolutely unbelievable. Every dialogue, I can emotion this lady was feeling and it reminded me of Oprah when She said "great dialogue bye the way!". It sounds like a book with great insight in one of the fascinating individuals this Earth has ever seen!. Of course this comment is coming from someone in South Africa!

Most insightful interview with Maggie Haberman yet, and I have seen many! I can’t believe that he will be transitioning away from the show. Of course it’s understandable. Who can deal with trumpism on such a high level without reaching total burnout. That man erodes the soul

Mary Trump’s books are excellent too. She's known her uncle a long time. And he's even worse than you thought! Mary has been warning us about the orange agent...her uncle. Mary is an intelligent fearless woman who's genuine!

Trevor you break things down so beautifully, have such an understanding of complexities and can articulate these depths in an accessible way without being pretentious or off-putting. You are just such a gifted, brilliant, insightful human. What you've brought to The Daily Show and to the air in general has been so incredible. You will be so missed.

Whatever anybody thinks of Maggie Haberman aside, I'll just say this: Trevor Noah is one of the best interviewers in the business. Yes, his stock in trade is comedy--but he clearly, thoroughly, researches his subjects and their activities. He's so smart, and he asks insightful questions. Even Haberman is a little surprised at how knowledgeable Trevor is about her book (12:56). We are really going to miss his contributions when he leaves The Daily Show. I hope he lands someplace where he can make even half as big an impact.

Trevor has a unique way of mixing humor and serious current content that has been his trademark on this show. It’s like what you see in the mixing and production of a marble cake, the contrast is not lost in the process. He has perfected it and for sure will be missed when he moves on hopefully to bigger and better things.
