I generally don’t have regrets. Maggie was the warmup act for Mumford and Sons in Dublin. My friends and I decided to make a big night of it and rent an apartment. They were too busy drinking to leave in time for Maggie and I was too stupid to head off on my own. A massive regret. Lesson learnt.

Ever since I watched the 'Masterclass with Pharrell' video, I've had this song on my playlists. Now that I've watched it performed live, I love it even more. Its so good to see an artist perform naturally and pure. No silly choreography, just an artist, expressing herself through her music. What a talent this young lady has, a real writer, singer, performer. True musician, not a Pop Tart. Hope to see much more from her in the future!

What makes her great is that she is unafraid to be herself. Most music and artists these days are a version of something we’ve seen already. She’s unique. Which is what Ferrell loved about her to begin with I believe. Tash Sultana, Alana Davis, Beth Orton, Esthero, some of my favorite singer-song writers and she definitely falls into that category!

I was Maggie's age in the 70's. Her music and freedom of expression reminds of that time. What an amazing time it was before America became totally monetized. When I first saw Maggie dance and sing, she definitely reminded me of the freedom we lived with in 70's. When America was a kinder, gentler nation... the Vietnam war ended, people were finding their voices and demonstrating for equal rights, we could hitch hike around the country and were safe, before the corporate fascist took over America...
