@@CherryGreenslade KZbin had it as a recommended video. Out of curiosity I watched it. I've seen a couple other videos demonstrate the magic knot but they do not explain the correct method. Yours is the best explanation. Going slow and catching the yarn correctly is the key. You nailed it! Good job!

Never thought I could get so frustrated over a simple knot! Wow! I've been watching your video play on repeat (while I'm trying it at the same time!) My pile of cut offs(screw ups!) was getting big! Then I realized it was VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO CROSS THE WRAP AROUND. Ugh! I'm guessing about 20 tries before I really got it. Whew! Thank you for teaching me something new today!

I believe this technically a surgeon’s knot. The approach may look different when looking up “surgeon’s knot” since it usually taught at the center of the two strings (sometimes just one string) while this version is focused on securing the ends. However, the knot itself looks the same once tightened.
