Thank you ! This is so timely for me! I had total knee replacement a month ago and the pain is extreme. I have mushrooms but didn’t think they would be good now but as I saw myself sinking into depression from unrelieved pain , I started microcosing a week ago. I guess my body knew best . I find them very helpful and now I know they would be good for me in my rehab. I probably should have started sooner. Thank you to both of you excellent human beings! Blessings to you both.

I picked mushrooms in Washington State in the puget Sound. I first bought Cubensis in California in Santa Cruz at College. I had smoked a lot of Ganja before I shroomed and so I took to the heroic doses! As a psychonaut who got into hard drugs, I found that my trip turned into smoking Crack Cocaine while peaking on LSD! I am very happy that I have been sober for 21 years.

I always describe to people the experience you have on psilocybin is that your questions about life get answered but you do not get to bring those answers back with you after the effects wears off. However you have a feeling of content with the awareness that those questions have been answered while in that state without a specific memory of what the answers were.

Deepak, this is in response to your question about Jesus, the water to wine, the manna.. You may find this very interesting seeing as your passion is consciousness. When you start to see the biblical Texts in metaphor , everything changes. Water in my opinion is a metaphor for consciousness. When god moved upon the face of the water second line of the book of genesis, I believe this is an indicator that LOVE itself moved through the molecules of the water much like the studies of the late Dr. Masaru Emoto.. so water to wine is to me an elevation in consciousness, wine or grapes would be an analogy of taking the grape and alchemizing it into spirit (pure consciousness void of ego) .. water to wine could be seen as he brought spirit into the consciousness of those at the wedding party. Manna, was wisdom to me (so very well could have been a mushroom) as they just “parted the sea” another water analogy of ascending a level of consciousness, while being lost in the wilderness for 40 years they were wandering because they weren’t yet readied for the promised land.. and most still are not.. it was never a physical Location it was “Christ consciousness” this promised land. (The holy “Whole-y” city is in the kingdom of heaven which is found within)

In the Rig Veda the Sanskrit proposes the term, "aja ekapod" in reference to Soma, translated as "not born single-foot," not born ,as the ancient saw no seeds and could not see the spores, therefore their "birth" was unnacounted for aka "not born". Single foot obviously aslo applies to a mushroom, the single stope that supports the fruiting body in psiilocybin or amanita muscaria.

Complexity gives rise tocmore complexity. At a certain point our complexity invented religion and other mythology. Sadly religion stuck around bc it helps cope with the fear of death. Oddly enough by scaring people with hell and torture so they conform to whatever norms the leaders want them to have.

Two key points that I have heard that differ from Deepak’s recollection. (1) The words that Deepak said were the Buddha’s last words, that is not how I heard it. They were his first words. After his experience under the Bodhi Tree he went to find the 5 ascetics who had practiced with him earlier on his quest to tell them the good news. Along the way he ran into someone who was impressed by his demeanor and asked who and what he was and who was his teacher. He replied that he was not a God, nor was he anything special except that he had “awakened” from the “spell” of attachment to Self that we are all under - but are unaware of it. Secondly, in the Pali sutra, The Buddha was said to have died from contaminated “pork” that was especially prepared by this poor family that didn’t realize that the food was in fact, had spoiled. The Buddha was said to have asked that this family was not to be blamed for this since it was not intentional. The Buddha’s eating of a poisonous mushroom is intriguing and we can only know what has been passed down to us about his death ….we really cannot know for sure. However we can practice the path leading to the ending of suffering and find out for ourselves if his teachings are true. His last words according to the Pali Canon was to remind us that mindfulness is the path to the deathless and it was solely up to us to find this out through applying our effort and diligence to take heed of how our minds actually work.
