Cyber had slightly enhanced speed, strength, reflexes, senses, and healing; mostly just above human tier, but not really high enough to call them truly superpowers. The adamantium skin of his fingertips ended in claws which secreted a wide variety of toxins; they were potent enough that a couple scratches could send Wolverine into hallucinations for a time, and multiple deep would could mess Wolverine up for over 24 hours. Most beings without some form or another of advanced healing factor would be rendered insensible or borderline comatose by the toxins in short order- or just killed outright by the simple physical damage caused by the claws. Cyber was a highly trained soldier, spy, and assassin, as well, with hand-to-hand skills that let him face down Wolverine without being at a disadvantage.

Cyke is actually pretty cool in this game. With hadoken motion you do an optic blast that sweep the ground and makes you slide away. That makes him great to hit and retreat. If you hit an ennemy with a rushing attack (elbow hit), you can link with a special to do a quick air optic blast, and when you touch the ground you do the sweep optic blast that moves you away from a possible ennemy hit or blast. Plus if hold, the special attack let you aim in whichever direction. Great against small/big/aerial/jumping ennemies

Cyclops in '97 is voiced by Ray Chase (Noctis, Bruno Buccellatti, Ryomen, Sukuna, Puri-Puri Prisoner, Roswaal, Master of Masters, Tengen Uzui and Young Nier) The 90's team you were referring to (Which Angel is fighting) is the Acolytes. The thing about Bishop and Cable is they both come from futures that are pretty much alternates of each other. Bishop comes from the future where most of the mutants have been killed or imprisoned, and Cable comes from the future where most of the humans have been killed or imprisoned.

Sabretooth has always been my favorite X-Men character ever since I saw X-Men as a kid in the 90s. Cold Vengeance might just be the best stand alone episode of the original series in my opinion. Straight up Wolverine centric. I still have my purchased VHS of it with it's sleeve.

After rewatching the OG 90's series, most of Cyclops being an a-hole feeling is in our child heads. He's a jerk a couple times, but actually right most of the time. We all just thought Wolverine was cooler.

I always wanted to like Mutant Apocalypse as a kid, especially as it was the only X-Men game I owned, but I hated how I had to do Capcom combos to use the powers in the main mode. It was particularly annoying since using your powers was super easy whenever in the training mode and I didn't understand why the main game couldn't just be like that instead.

I can't wait until you are able to play OpenBOR games like "Ultimate Double Dragon" and "Final Fight LNS Ultimate." I know Mau Herrerra and I think Mr. X are working on "Fight Forever" currently, which is an original OpenBOR game based around Final Fight that is redoing everyone from the FF series...but updating their movesets similar to what they did with Ultimate Double Dragon. They just came out with a Maki & Carlos trailer recently and it is SICK. But they probably won't be releasing anything until much later as they are taking their time with the game.

Mutant Apocalypse feels like the Mega Man X team made it. Same control feel and same sound design. Bux X was base around ranged attacks. They didn't refine the melee attacks for this game well enough.

I loved mutant apocalypse as a kid and was annoyed that the actual final boss was Magneto. After the first five CYOA levels it becomes a linear game with like 5 more levels and a wider variety of enemies.

It's weird how one person, or a small group of people, can make these awesome fan games all by themselves, but when was the last time we actually got an X-Men game? It feels like when I was a kid they would come out every single year. Nowadays all these AAA games come out and it takes them like five years of development, then they release them too soon and half of them completely suck. Why can't they just do some of these in licensed form? Does everything need to have 100% photorealistic graphics, masterclass writing and complex loot-based gameplay? Why not just hire people like Zvitor and give them a small team and make this kind of stuff, but upgraded?
