That dryer box wasn't installed in the right location, making it nul and void. The whole idea was to make the dryer closer to the wall.

@@TheSleepyCraftsman I’ll expand on what he’s saying lol. The purpose of the dryer box is to be able to have the dryer as close to the wall as possible. The dryer box in your wall was supposed to be where your magvent ended up being so whoever installed it originally did it wrong.

That's what I thought. That was installed by the original builder.

This thing is freaking cool, but pretty pricy compared to the normal solution

Yeah, it's a bit pricey but never having to do dryer gymnastics everytime I need to disconnect is amazing. Its worth the money if it prevents me from twisting an ankle alone.
