Today we start a series of episodes, dedicated to the maintenance of the classic road bike. For this we have a mythical bicycle, the Pinarello Montello, which was one of the bicycles that the Reynolds team had, which in the following 2 years would win the 1988 tour with Perico Delgado. This bike is equipped with a mix of campagnolo c-record and super record components.

Hoy empezamos una serie de episodios, destinados al mantenimiento de la bicicleta clásica de carretera. Para ello contamos con una bicicleta mítica la Pinarello Montello, la cual fue una de las bicicletas que tenia el equipo Reynolds, que a los 2 año siguientes ganaría el tour de 1988 con Perico Delgado. Esta bicicleta esta equipa con una mezcla de componente campagnolo c-record y super record.

BEAUTIFUL!!! Este es bonita roja brillante. Everybody always goes back to the old steel Columbus/Reynolds 531 or Chromoly bikes. They seem to be able to be rebuilt over and over.

Thanks friend!!! Well, what I use to clean metal parts is cleaning solvent. As long as it is metal it is the most effective, for plastic I usually use a degreaser like kh7. Greetings and I hope I have answered your question. Thanks for comment ; )

Nice work as always, so sad that these artisan built, works of art frames have been replaced by ugly carbon fiber all cranked out of the same Taiwanese factories. BTW, have you thought about getting an ultrasonic cleaner, would work well on the small mechanical parts?

Hi, friend!!! Thank you for your comment, to degrease aluminum parts, I use universal cleaning solvent (there are people who use gasoline or diesel), for plastic parts degreaser for kitchens KH7. Greetings friend, I hope it helps you ; )

Thank you. I sometimes use degreaser similar to TFR. It's a bit aggressive but it can be diluted.

Hola Andrés!!! Para las piezas de aluminio uso disolvente de limpieza universa. Te vale cualquier marca. Para piezas de plásticos kh7. Por que con el disolvente puedes dañaras. Un saludo y espero que te sea de ayuda ; )
