I greatly appreciate your video. Out of all the videos on here, yours was the best one. I just finished a rear brake job on my 06 HHR and it was a horrible experience. I don't ever want to go through that ever again. The worst part were the main springs. Took two days to finish. Thank you for all your help!

Great instructions, but that ebrake cable is a problem area for me. Started fraying as soon as I tried to push the spring up to seat the new shoe.

The setup was the same on my 2006 GMC Sierra. I had a little difficulty removing the parking brakes cable from the brake shoe, but once I got it off it was smooth sail. Needless to say the parts were a little bigger. Thanks for the demo, it was very helpful.

when removing the brake hub ? I use a rubber mallet to prevent any damage to it , the retainer EB spring I use a vice on its end and then gently remove the pad hook ( by rotating opposite its insert ) this way I can use the pad itself to counterweight the spring tension :) but thank you for the great upload

you can buy it in convenient single use packets at most parts houses, also white lithium grease works as well

What a pain in the ass the EB spring was. Just couldn't get the right combination of vice and dike together. After a few bloodied fingers, a few new cuss words - I got it. There must be a $100 GM special tool to slip that on. Damn, now I got to do the other side..... Loved the video - just didn't have the "after a while you get the hang of it" experience = hope to not have to do it again...

Hey I was wondering if you have original hardware do I replace the button springs and the bottom return spring with the w shaped wire And also does the adjustment lever slide around the e brake bolt I have an hhr and the shoes are original and the e brake is on the outside of the shoe not on the inside
