Right after you said get it cleared you started to blow down the bed side with the static gun, my heart skipped a beat right then because your face mask was up and it came what looked to be millimeters from the fresh base coat! It was probably more like a foot away in reality, but from my view it was close!!! I have been doing stuff like this supper late and been going for hours and was on the final steps when something stupid like that would happen right smack in the middle of a panel and add hours to the job!! It's some of the most frustrating stuff because it takes hours to fix "with dry time mainly" but a mere second to have happen!! Welcome to body and paint! LoL

Aiden had best appreciate the long, late hours that the staff at Robby Layton Autobody has put into the restoration of his father's truck And team, you each deserve a medal of valor, purple heart 💜 (for all the busted knuckles and head hits), and dedicated team member. I think someone should notify the media when the truck is presented to Aiden because the company and each one of you deserve the recognition. All of that and let's not forget the expense of the entire build. Oh and the Boss gets an "at a girl".

Hey Robbie, you might like wielders caps they are snug fitting and some have no brims as well. The one with brims aren't stiff either and might be more comfortable.

I found a pair of those tubing cutters on the side of the road and they are in my tool box. Those cutters aren’t something you use all the time but when you need them they are great.

Robby, flash time for water is going to be dependent on the relative humidity in the booth. You should monitor the humidity, record it at time of spray and adjust the flash times as necessary.

I am with you on the Toyota Sequoia. I started with a 2004 and drive a 2011 now with 220,000 miles. Great vehicles. I would love a new one but can't justify it as there is nothing wrong with the one I have. I would like to see your new one when you get it and see a review of it.

Robby, welding supply will have welding caps of all shapes and sizes. Many look like a baseball cap and have no bill or a very short bill. They are made to sit the welding mask on top of.

If your getting lots of die back Robby try letting the basecoat dry a little longer I spayed that paint for over ten years I love envirobase by ppg.

You should get rid of that pressed metal line for the heater core the one that goes into the intake I just use the regular hose and cut the outer end of that pressed fitting off there's a nipple sticking out in the inside of it then just stick a hose clamp on the outside of the hose it sucks when you blow one of those lines and you're stuck on the side of the road because you don't know that all you have to do is cut that outer part of the pressed fitting off and stick a hose clamp on and you're good to go
