Janet is up there with Madonna? Black folks don't play bout Janet. My thing is how he can judge Janet and her music when he barely ever heard Janet's musical catalog or her history of being in tha business since the age of 3. He never watched her music videos, nothing? Janet has been singing professionally since the age of of 16. That woman is 57, 58 now? That's a hella long time to be around in the music business and still touring now. Because most artists don't be around that long. Janet is in her own lane. One thing Janet did perfectly was not allowing herself to be put in the box as just only Michael Jackson's sister. Janet had a LONG music career and has a large catalog music outside of what her famous family does. And she was one of the first artists to be creative in her music videos. All her ideas. She's the BLUEPRINT?! She's one of the Queens of tha Quiet Storm. Queen of the sexy slow jams because she doesn't just do dance music. He BETTA put some RESPECT ON JANET JACKSON NAME....

She's not lip syncing at ALL. She's dancing and actually singing live. One thing the public will criticize and demonize you for back in the 90's is lip syncing. If you couldn't sing live during a live performance and was caught lip syncing back then your career will be basically over. Only these artists nowadays is comfortable with lip syncing during live performances. They did NOT play that back then in tha 90's. Whether you was a great singer or not, you better sing LIVE, NOT lip sync.

...MTV...in the 80s....caught her lipping...so that has haunted her a bit throughout her career ...but i have no problems with her upping her game after that...i recently saw MADONNA...and halfway through the concert there WAS a vocal track playing JUST IN CASE she got tired and decided to lip....i noticed it and mentioned it to my editor who took me to see her...

This song is VERY risque - the reason it's sung this way - and one of my favorites! This is the grown and sexy Janet, Miss Jackson if you're nasty. One of the lines goes 'you on the rise as you're touching my thighs and let me know what you like, if you like I'll go down. . .' The lyrics are online I'm sure. I just saw her concert in DC on Friday and it was LIT. I danced for 2 hours and I just turned 65 but you wouldn't know it🤗🎶😍💃🔥

Love the minor inflictions she does in her vocal to say hey im live here. She has to do that to say shes actually singing and its not backing track. Rare artist that sounds exactly like she does on the recording.

Janet is the original...Ciara is the one who followed the blueprint. Both ladies are talented in dance, but Janet came first. Also, Janet was not lip syncing.

She was singing live, Janet was before Ciara , Beyonce, Britney Spears, Aaliyah , Jennifer Lopez , and the list goes on . They all have verbally said in interviews that Janet Jackson was their inspiration. Newer artists like Norman and Tenasha have also credited Janet for inspiring them.

I love your reactions but I don’t like when younger reactions say I that reminds of Ciara. Janet is Ciara inspiration. I feel like this with anyone artist I grew up with being compared to someone new 2000 until today. That’s just a pet peeve of mine. Glad you enjoyed the production, I’m more of a lyrical girl so I first listen to the words and then pay attention to the beat.
