Just a warning about the dog side hustle. There was a discussion in our township about neighbors running a doggy day care from their home. They were not permitted to do so without permission…and then only up to 4 dogs at a time. You also would need liability insurance in case the dogs hurt each other or bit someone. You probably want to also create an LLC so that you can’t be sued personally.
@meliakea29502 жыл бұрын
Yes this is absolutely correct. Also wanted to point out that swimply is a huge liability risk. If someone slips and gets hurt at your pool, they can sue… I’m a licensed insurance agent and we just had a class that address this site being a liability… idk how this is even allowed.
@ccccccchhhhhh8083 жыл бұрын
I want to emphasize the importance of networking too! I was offered a job from a previous employer (without even applying) but the job i chose to go with was a better fit. They asked if they could bring me on as a contractor, part time and remotely! That wouldn't have happened if I hadn't maintained good relationships (and proven myself previously with my skill set). 8 even have a job lined up if my primary job falls through.

I know they call the concerns I’m about to list “excuses” in another video, but I would say risk assessment in these side hustles is vital. As someone who has worked at doggy daycares and a separate dog food store this side hustle of dog daycare was glossed over quite a bit as practically passive income. Nah, it’s quite a time sink making sure they don’t eat and step in their own poop just to start. There will be minor injuries from playing that you’ll need to watch the dogs (not just check on them from a window) to prevent the injuries so you can keep customer loyalty. There will severe injuries that could not be predicted as well. That is a large potential vet bill you may be liable for. So now you need a lawyer to write a waiver of some kind before you begin. Lastly, your yard will be trashed and smell. which goes without saying, lowers your house value.. Ppl also just leave their dogs. That’s a hassle.
@Alwayshopeful1003 жыл бұрын
Love you guys! I just subscribed. My question is what do entrepreneurs do for health insurance? With health costs being so outrageous it is also so hard to find the money to invest.

All great ideas but one should also be aware of liability with these business ventures. Make sure you cover your - - -. Someone's dog or child is hurt and you could be losing everything. The cost to insure yourself may be not make these ideas profitable.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing about doggie daycare. It may be differ state by state, country by country, but you may need a license to operate it and get insured. It won't be much of a side hustle at the end...

@@OurRichJourney It was an education, let me just say that! I would advise anyone who runs a service business to make use of detailed written agreements. On more than one occassion we found that a customer would assume their minimal purchase came with all sorts of extras for free. For example, if you order 3 dozen latex balloons delivered to a rental hall, that's what you get. You don't also get my staff to make the balloons into centerpieces. You don't get vases or bags or weights that you didn't order and didn't pay for. (Good sales person will try to sell these during the ordering process😊) This is why we learned to make use of detailed written agreements. If someone orders ballloons an order might say 1 doz Red, 1 doz Blue, 1 doz White 11 inch latex helium filled balloons with 36 inch white ribbons to be delivered by X time/Y place. No set up/No design. If you're providing talent it could say 1 party clown to perform for 1.5 hours, arriving at X time, departing at Y time. Will deliver 6 mylar birthday balloons. Specificity is your friend.

I do things such as but not limited to invitations, menu, order of the day (any print media), carve watermelons (you could have your name, face or any design you like), creative themes ie scavenger hunt, diy, Hollywood, beach etc. (I can go on & on) I've had events as large as 500 people and as low as 4. My problem is that people always want something for nothing and all the hours I put into making, creating, organizing etc. comes out to minimum wage. I have declined bids due to work/pay ratio.
