What I appreciate about this is that the band is just brushing the “trap” sound and it hasn’t completely changed their identity. I feel like way too many bands that experiment with different genres forget their identity in the process. I’m a fan of experimentation, but not at the cost of your core sound and identity. Sick track, banger for sure!

To me what makes MTS special is their songwriting. They manage to have really great hooks and be catchy while keeping it fresh with simple but tasteful structure choices. E.g. the early chorus on Epitaph and the shortened 2nd verse here. It really helps keep the momentum.
