I’ve started with just a few that are available through El Paso and I’ve really surprised myself!!! Building glutes through my programme and hip not in as much pain.. so I trust what you are saying. I’m holding off for the hip replacement as long as I can.. thank you for your wisdom

Hi. Please could you add some examples of lower abs exercises that you do with your clinic patients. I try all sorts, but it would be great to see what you do with your in-clinic patients. Many thanks.

Most of these tips and exercises are good for knee arthritis too. I started developing hip arthritis because I was compensating too much from my knee arthritis and I realised one day that I had a tendency to hunch. By standing and sitting up straighter and taller, it made a HUGE difference in my knee and hip pain! This was my biggest breakthrough of all. This is because I was shifting my weight back, which relieved a lot of the pressure, but it also automatically activated my abs and my glutes.

All kidding aside a few years ago I had meniscus tear on right knee and had clean up surgery. Lost 50 pounds but now I have Achilles tendinitis on the same leg and knee arthritis. Yesterday as I was loading my dishwasher I had left hip give me horrible pain it was ridiculous! So I’m only 55 but still obese with lipodema primarily of the right leg. I always had strong big legs and a big butt I used to leg press more than any male in my college weight training classes over 260 pounds! One guy had to be carried off the machine and hurt his hamstring and quads! I had a liposarcoma on the right thigh the size of a softball removed 10 years ago they got it all and I’ve had no recurrence. I’m so grateful to be alive and my bet is I’m going to be able to heal myself once again. Thank you for all the assistance!

Everything you are saying makes sense! I noticed a weakness in my glutes just before Covid. I had Covid really bad and all my muscles felt powerless and my oxygen went down to 83 and I was at home. It took me a long time to learn how to walk from the couch to another room . Then I foolishly got vaccinated and felt worse. Long story short my glutes have gotten very weak making walking unassisted difficult. Since I've been strengthening my glutes I already see a difference and very little time and I mean in a week! I've had trouble with my knee for a long time and sometimes I could hardly walk on it. But I believe every word you're saying and that is the route I'm going to take! Thank you!❤

Try straightening up and walking and sitting tall. Notice your weight shifting from the balls of your feet to your heels. This simple change made a huge difference for me. When I'm tired I have a tendency to hunch forward slightly but that puts pressure in the wrong places. Straightening up automatically activates your glutes and abs.

Happy New Year! Am coming off a two-week self-imposed stint of rest and restricted mobility -- because the "keep moving" mantra from providers just didn't seem to be working. So, I'm ready to jump into your Week 2. Been ages since I've been able to walk without an aid (Canadian crutches or rollator). Going to try that glute work in the pool, which at the moment is the only place I have any real mobility. Any chance you'll add videos about pool work for this?

I can definitely say, that one week or so in of CONCENTRATED effort of your exercises, (like you say all the time if possible) my pain is 75% gone (Maybe more). I get the occasional twinge and I certainly know about it, but it soon goes off. I don't have that knawing pain in ny hip and across my groan I was experiencing. Just need to work on increasing my mobility. No rush. Ive been living with this pain getting steadily worse for around 5 years now. I reckon there are clues to this muscle loss long before the hip pain really kicks in. Things like cramps and tight hamatrings. That's just a thought on my part... I'm told i have severe degradation in my right hip frim my xrays , but I'm a pretty focused guy when it comes to my personal health. I did twinge my back in the first couple of days, but I'm over that now. I'd love to be able to run again, but getting back into surfing is the main aim. This whole process is a lesson in how we MUST PRACTICE USING ALL OR MUSCLES AS WE AGE! SO IMPORTANT!👍 Thank you so much for your information. ❤

Sounds great. I’ve watched many of your videos - My its been about 5-6 years and I can bring my knees up but it’s the outward rotation that causes sickening pain if im not careful. Secondly, have to walk at work and use a pallet jack often. If I can’t use a walker except at home when off work is this program off the table?

I really feel like I can heal, watching your videos, by doing your protocol. However, I work for a chiropractor doing therapies and I walk all day. It's not possible for me to use crutches at work. I live in TX, but I would consider making an appointment with you. The biggest obstacle I have is working on my feet 5 days a week. Plus, my husband can't work because he's had cancer the last 5 years and is doing chemo every other week. I need to be able to help him plus work! Yikes! Help! Any suggestions?

Reducing walking has helped noticably. An hour intro Costco totally convinced me. That hour caused an increase in pain in hip, both knees, quads down to just below the knees. That activation of quads set me back.

Can you address the role of weight loss in hip arthritis recovery? I've been told that a surprisingly small reduction in weight can make large changes in pressure points in the hip joint geometry. Whats your experience?

My rheumatologist told me to lose weight to help my hips. He also said my hips need replacing. That was 10 years ago. I went whole foods, plant based and lost 118 pounds with a few more to go. My muscles need a lot of help but these exercises really help. Losing weight is a key factor. You're getting extra weight off your joints. Also eliminating inflammatory foods out of your diet will help too.

I have heard you mention that a muscle imbalance is the root cause of hip arthritis. If this is true, we should be able to use this model to accurately predict those in the general population who will go on to develop hip arthritis. Is there a study you can provide me with that supports this hypothesis?
