I didn't know what ASMR was before this video. I accidentally stumbled upon it after watching makeup tutorials! I remember my amazement that this existed when I found it, and I'm still amazed. I am so glad I've found the ASMR community through this video. It's definitely been one of the best things for my stress and insomnia, so...thank you so much! Without you I would have never known about ASMR.

I used to have my make up and hair done regularly for dance competitions and it was just the best feeling having someone play with my hair and put the soft brushes on my face. Ahhh...good memories, thank you! Soooo relaxing. :D

i love this. everytime someone has done my makeup throughout my life i have always gotten tickled. my step sister used to always do my makeup when we were teenagers and sometimes it would get so intense i would twitch...and she always got frustrated with me and told me not to move. haha!

I'm so freaked out--but NOT in a bad way. About 20 minutes ago I found out about ASMR here on youtube while i was watching a makeup video that relaxes me. I'm still trying to discover what it is, if its just something that relaxes people or something you can "have" as if its built into your brain. okay so I have to say I never comment on video's (seriously) but this is such a great ASMR video I tell everyone about it. I have watched others but NOTHING compares to this. I love it so much. To take a psychological perspective, it's a mothering instinct to comfort and asmr fits that drive very well. The soft sounds could also remind us of our mothers quiet voice as we drifted to sleep as babies? It's all just speculation of course.

one cool thing that distinguishes this clip from all the other makeup roleplays is that amal sounds like she really really knows what she's doing. (that plus the fact that amal is in it, so we get to stare at her face.)
