Another great video dude! If you want a great match to your FD’s the Minolta AF 35mm f1.4 is probably the way to go. That lens is used by Zero Optik and others for the 35mm FD set as it matches super well

I’ve looked into that one but the footage I’ve seen made it seem like it was also very warm. But definitely one to consider!

@@spensersakurai the SSC asphericals seem to be a tad warmer than their NFD L counterparts so could be why they use that one

The Nikkor Ais 35mm 1.4 could also be an option of what you were looking for! They are kinda on the cooler side too, very sharp stopped down but still a bit hazy wide open, very good build quality and less expensive than the zeiss lenses :)

That 35mm FD, if it's the concave... or maybe just in general. That thing has Thorium in it. I have a copy myself and it is SUPER warm compared to my other FDs.

You should try and do what TLS for example does which is to use the Yaschica 35 Electro's 45mm T1.5 instead of a 35mm. Extremely annoying to actually adapt the 45mm T1.5 as it's a fixed lens but apparently it's one of the closest matches you'll get without going the wide angle adapter on the 55mm f1.2.

Have you tried an FD 28mm. Or hear me out. Add a sledge hammer to your kit and then walls are no longer in the way of setting up further from you subject with the 55mm. 😅

I apologize for a somewhat off topic but I have been using Canon FD telephoto lenses on a FX30 with success - 200MM f/2.8, 300mm f/4, 400mm f4.5. Enjoying your posts.
