Making a Milwaukee bit case holder in a Packout box

When I saw this in a video I thought what a great idea. I already made one the other day for my work truck and I figured why not have one for the wood shop.

If you had used the full height organizer, you could use a plywood base for another layer of bits in the Milwaukee boxes. Happy new year.

Jake Of All sells the custom bins in the shallow packout. I'm sure you could 3d print them for cheaper than he sells them but you would need a 3d printer and the files. He also have versa/t stak options as well.

The ratchets have 90 teeth. Very nice tools, I have the SAE set and love it.

For my slippery ratchets i wrapped them with tennis racket tape. Works great. Sticky side out.

Sounds like you replaced your Toughsystem for the Packout on the van. Why? Do you think that was better. I really like the idea of the Toughsystem because you can access the middle boxes without having to take the stack apart. I'd love to hear your thoughts before I pull the trigger on a new system.

Any tips/tricks to pulling the bits out of those Shockwave cases? I've got the same set as you and a set of drill bits... But man, I have a helluva time pulling the bits out of the boxes - and putting them back in is just as much trouble. Came across your video from a Google search hoping to find a way to make the cases better.

I'm stealing your idea. I did a similar project about 6 months ago with a black and decker box. It's falling apart. Hopefully this coming weekend I'll be finishing this.
