I’ve done a lot of research and begging to figure out movie theater popcorn and what I’ve come across is Snappy Butter Burst Popcorn Oil, for both popping and as a butter topping along with Flavacal seasoning like you used. They all have told me they use same oil for popping as they do for butter flavor

A lot of videos on youtube say the flavacol is the secret to movie theater popcorn, and I've tried it, but what I really want is the buttery topping, I will try this snappy butter burst, seems inexpensive on amazon
