Making a Warhammer 40,000 Diorama in 60 seconds

As someone who makes dioramas often, the most important aspect is the base. If your base is interesting, people will look past horrible painting. Second most important aspect is the story you're telling. If you just have a guy standing heroically, that's fine, but having action sequences in your diorama catches eyes much more easily. Capturing movement in a diorama is much more valuable than static poses. Capes, banners, and ribbons are great ways to help sell motion and create a captivating story.

If you left the base black and didn't add as much sand it would have looked like an obsidian lava field. I totally want to do that now!

Wee lore point. That's not Bayard! Bayard was a previous Emperor's Champion who was killed by Orks in one of the best 40k novels (Helsreach) and this unamed chap is exacting revenge on an ork in his name.

Nice but I would suggest removing the flight stand and substitute it for an ork being kicked off the ledge as the suppressor descends.

The dirt is too flat/monotone. Need some different color and texture variations to bring it to life.

I wanted to buy Bayard's Revenge to make a small diorama, but it is absurdly costly.

It is a great model but quite expensive, thankfully I had a voucher though as GW's single mini's are way to expensive
