Fantastic job. Those drawer slides are a kind of standard and require 12.5mm spacing in each side to work smoothly. However I like to allow 12.7/12.8mm per side and they work really nicely like you’ve shown. I have discovered that the hard way as yourself. Keep up the great videos, thanks!

Nice work! Trivial point, but those missing bits of thread on the M4 handle screws are so you can snap them to length with two pairs of pliers - quicker than sawing if you are doing lots, like in a kitchen refit...

Loving this series. Thanks. Quick question. I have 5 pairs of those runners but every time I fit them the runners catch on the screws. I've got 3 boxes of 20mm screws now and they all catch. What screws have you used?
@RagnBoneBrown
@RagnBoneBrown 6 жыл бұрын
I had the same problem. I just used normal screws. I think you need to allow space for more “play” - a commenter has suggested 12.8mm per runner (I only left 12mm)

Hi can i ask what screws you used please and y did you use staples on the bottom and not brads Thanks Joe
@RagnBoneBrown
@RagnBoneBrown 6 жыл бұрын
I used drywall screws, and I use staples because the ply was thin and Brad nails have a tendency to sink too deep through the ply so staples hold better

JSTR yeah no worries butty Bach. I’m a Taffy so I’m all arse backwards. It’s as hot as Betty swollocks here in Blighty so I suggested ole Keith drop his tools and head outside for a couple of snifters like the rest of us scallywags. Good luck deciphering that one old chap ;)
