I feel you on the pattern management and the issue with size changes. My goal for 2025 is to tackle projector sewing so that I can ultimately minimize the number of paper patterns I will have to store.

Regarding your sock goal - you might want to look at Summer Lee’s Colorwork Cuff sock club. She designs colorwork cuffs only and sends out the designs each month. You use your own yarn to follow the charts and color customization is encouraged. It has really helped me to want to make more socks because the designs are fun and the colorwork is over before you know it! Please take a look it may just be the thing you don’t know you need yet. Thanks for taking the time to put out content. I always enjoy seeing what you produce.

Whitney, you have some sensible, realistic goals. I'm looking forward to your videos in 2025. I enjoy your spin on things. Suzanne

Great goals! Three videos a week every week is a lot. I will watch them all but don't burn yourself out! I think one add in the middle of the video is fine. Filming and editing is a lot of work. You deserve the little money you get!

I am currently tracing three patterns as I watch this. I also fell out of tracing and got super frustrated with myself. I need to breathe and acknowledge that these projects take a while to get made. Thank you for the video! Happy New Year! ❤️✂️❤️✂️

13:24 Organizing my patterns was a big part of my Autumn 💯 ThreadLoop has been really helpful for this, actually. I’ve used tags to categorize the patterns that I’ve downloaded and whether or not they are printed. It’s been great- I’m no longer printing things twice or sitting down to start a project only to realize I’ve not yet printed the pattern. Figuring out how ThreadLoop can help me in other ways is definitely one of my 2025 goals! I really hope it becomes the Ravelry of the sewing community! ❤❤❤ (Happy new year!)

Loved hearing your goals! We’ve had our first ice/snowstorm in central Nebraska last night and today. I’ve been making lists of my fabric stash, my alterations and upcycle piles, and sketching sleeves and necklines I’d like to incorporate in this years makes (while watching football with the hubby of course)!

I'm so terrible at using up scraps and the place that took fabric scraps in my small town closed down, so I've decided to make the Closet Core Pouf as it's a free pattern, I'd use it in my house, and you stuff it with scraps! I also relate a lot to the slowing down. The last half of 2024 I slowed way down and did a lot more thinking and prep before making anything, be it knit or sewn, and the projects all turned out so much better. I've realized that for sewing, I need to do it in smaller chunks so I don't get impatient and start to rush, giving myself a lot of time spread over a week or more if necessary for more complex projects. I can also relate as tracing and cutting are my least favorite parts of sewing. Happy New Year and thanks for the videos!

You are an inspiration to me, I take pictures on my phone of what I make (most of the time) but never document what fabric, pattern, etc. So, while pondering your Sunday video, I actually serged a sleeve in my new favorite pattern (Sinclair's Sofia top~ of which I am on variation #3) on the outside! Aargh! But I was laughing and smiling as I FROG it and redo and listen to you! You are wise to keep the main thing the main thing! Happy 2025!

I'm here for the sewing! I'm hoping to organize my printed out PDF's too. I have a sewing friend who pitches ones she isn't interested in making in the near future (knowing she can print them out) and keeps a smaller stash of PDF's. I'm thinking of using a binder with plastic pocket pages and just keep the instructions...I haven't done this yet! But like you, they are taking up space - in my mind too!

Thanks for sharing! I haven't been sewing as much -- one of my 2025 goals is to get back into it -- but I do really like Theadloop so far (I followed you!). If you can swing it, upgrading to the "plus" paid membership has been great because you can just copy in the URL of your fabric, if available, and it will input all the stats for you.

Whitney, I enjoy your channel and love the 2025 goals you have made. I knit the scrappy bias shawl by Emily Clawson this year, a free pattern on ravelry. Used up leftover sock yarns. An easy take along project. Happy New Year.

Hi Whitney, I just discovered your channel. One of my goals of 2024 was not buying fabric, just sewing from my stash. I failed miserably, because I discovered an online shop with beautiful deadstock fabric in Belgium (I’m in Amsterdam, the Netherlands). I bought fabric from Dries van Noten, Sophie Dhoore and Stella McCartney! Love, love, love. I did sew up some of my stash, but these are not my favorites in my closet, unfortunately. I did use TNT patterns in my possession, that was a good thing, but the reason was mainly because I don’t like to trace patterns, just like you! My new goal of 2025 is: sew more from stash, and make more stuff like bags etcetera from my beautiful scraps. Hope I succeed this year. Bye, Barkcloth from Amsterdam.

I wish I could get on board with documenting my makes. It would make life so much easier when I have gone back and alter things I have made and then don’t adjust the pattern. I made a pair of leggings out of that same surge polar fleece fabric you made your out of. I was kind of wondering what I was going to do with that fabric, and leggings are perfect. Thanks for the tip.

Great goals. I like the way you are approaching 2025. I have a KZbin channel too. I was thinking that I should aim for 2 videos a week. It’s for fun too, but perhaps I should treat it more like a business. I believe that is a great idea. Have fun sewing and knitting. 😊

Would love to know if you learn of a textile recycling place in CO. I love Art Parts (in Boulder) for donating/thrifting fabric.

You might think of using some of you scraps to fill the emotional support chicken. I'm thinking maybe you already made one - two wouldn't be too many…🐔
